I want to shout this from the rooftop! You never know what life is going to throw at you. There are so many things we can't control- but there is oh so much we can do to live well and age well. Let's prioritize health and prevention over treating symptoms so we can live a full and active life with minimal limitations for as long as possible ❤️

When you are alone and have a heart attack. What are you gonna do then ?
A rarely good post that can't be shared often enough:
1.
Take a 2 minute break and read this:
Let's say it's 5:25 pm and you're driving home after an unusually hard day's work.
2.
You are really tired and frustrated.
All of a sudden your chest pains. They are starting to radiate in the arm and jaw. It feels like being stabbed in the chest and heart. You're only a few miles away from the nearest hospital or home.
3.
Unfortunately you don't know if you can make it..
4.
Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person running the course hasn't told you how to help yourself.
5.
How do you survive a heart attack when you're alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.
6.
But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.
7.
Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. Here's how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment

Cardiologists say if someone gets this message and passes it on to 10 people, we can expect to save at least one life.
9. FOR WOMEN: You should know that women have additional and different symptoms. Rarely have crushing chest pain or pain in the arms. Often have indigestion and tightness across the back at the bra line plus sudden fatigue.

Easter is almost here! 🐰 What will you prepare to eat? 🐣what do you like to make with those boiled eggs you are coloring?

Super simple deviled eggs and they're perfect for holiday get togethers!
Ingredients:
6 eggs Eggs, Whole
1 tbsp Mayonnaise, light
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Spicy Brown Mustard
Preparation:
1. Hard boil eggs and peel.
2. Cut eggs in half, remove yolks and place into a bowl. Put egg whites onto a plate.
3. Mix yolks with mayo, mustard (I like whole grain stone ground), salt, and pepper.
4. Fill each egg white with 1/12 of the yolk mixture.
5. Sprinkle paprika on top.
Makes 2 servings, each counting as 1 lean, ~3 condiments (using 1 tbsp light mayo as 2 condiments since we don't get a healthy fat with whole eggs).

Healthy and yummy Guacamole 🥑🥑🥑
Makes 8 servings
per serving
1 fat
¼ green serving
3 condiments
2 avocados
¼ cup lime juice
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup chopped tomato
1 tsp. sea salt
Spoon out avocados into large bowl. Add lime juice, minced garlic, and chopped tomato. With a spoon, mash together until mixture becomes creamy. Add sea salt. Refrigerate and serve with bell pepper slices or celery

Healthy Taco Dip
Ingredients
8 oz light cream cheese, softened
1 c fat free Greek yogurt
8 oz cooked, lean ground turkey
1 c of favorite salsa
1 Tbs taco seasoning
1 c shredded lettuce
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 c tomato, diced
1 small avocado, diced
½ c onions, sliced
1 Tbs sliced olives
1 lbs mini bell peppers, sliced in half lengthwise, stems and seeds removed, for serving instead of chips
Instructions
1. Combine softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, ground turkey, salsa and taco seasoning until smooth and well combined. Spread into a rectangle baking dish or pie plate (I used an 11"x7" baking pan) . Refrigerate for an hour to let flavors combine (optional). Top with remaining ingredients.
12 servings with each:

1 healthy fat

Love riced cauliflower with green onions and garlic and add some shrimp, all sautéed in a pan sprayed with coconut oil spray. Ummmm, a great dish that is almost as good as shrimp and grits.
