This week students in grades 3 - 6 participated in STEM camp. 3rd and 4th grades explored Bernoulli’s principle, studied lava flow, made their own whipped cream, made bubbles, and built their very own boats. 5th and 6th grades painted masterpieces with a pendulum, coded a micro:bit to count their steps, competed in an egg drop challenge and made a hover craft. It was an awesome week making learning FUN!

Being that there are so many photos, we thought it would be easier for you to peruse them all through a Google folder.

Good Evening,

This is Michelle Kokindo, Assistant Principal at the Dunmore Elementary Center calling with important information about tomorrow’s Track and Field Day. Because tomorrow’s events will be bring in many additional cars and traffic to the school, when the parent lot is filled, we are asking that families park off campus as we will be closing down Warren St. and Quincy Ave. There will be no parking in the rear of the high school or along the sidewalks of either the High School or Elementary Center. Tomorrow’s events will begin at 8:30 AM with our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in the playground/ tennis court area and our 3rd through 6th grade students at the football field/track area. Events will end at approximately 10:30 so students can reenter the school building and have lunch. If families choose to take their students out of school early, students will need to be signed out from their homeroom teacher prior to reentering the building for lunch. Please communicate any transportation changes with your child’s teacher prior to tomorrow’s dismissal. No parents will be permitted to enter the Dunmore Elementary Center building. All remaining students will be dismissed at 11:30 with one bus run. Also, students are reminded to wear their track and field shirts, and are encouraged to wear sunblock. We are looking forward to another fun and successful track and field day for all!
