Tomorrow, April 27th, is the last day for our April Saturday morning skill sessions!

4k-3rd grade, free and open to anyone.

3 on 3s are a great way to keep up you're skills in the off-season. Here are a few that we have heard about so far. If your looking for more just google "3 on 3s in Wisconsin 2024" and more will pop up.

10,000 shot club forms were emailed out this morning. If you were missed in the email, message us and we can get you a form!

Today the girls youth program wrapped up the 23-24 season with their banquet. This year the girls youth program decided to do their end of the season activities together. Promoting "the basketball family" culture here at pines.

Congratulations to Kenzie and Morgan who were our very first recipients of the NPBA summer camp scholarship!

This past fall the NPBA board decided to set money aside every year for camp scholarships for one boy and one girl from our youth program. So after this season wrapped up for our travel teams, each coach was asked to write a nomination letter for one athlete on their team that they thought would be the most deserving. NPBA board then gathered those letters and voted anonymously for the winners.

Coaches made their nominations for many different reasons but these two canidates had very similar qualities. Strong desire to continue to grow their skills, being very coachable kids, and great team players are just a few. We can't wait to hear what camps these two athletes pick out! Have a great off season!

Tonight Becky Nyman was presented the award for volunteer of the year with the NPBA. Becky has been on the board for 8 years, and even though her daughters are now in the high school program and beyond, she still continues to dedicate her time to the youth. Becky takes on the daunting task of being our concession chair, and single handedly raised a couple thousand with bringing the idea of raffle baskets to our home tournaments. Becky does all the leg work that goes into those baskets each year! Besides her board duties, Becky is at every monthly meeting year round, helping us with input from a parent's perspective and always offering a hand at anything that needs to be done. We are very lucky to have Becky Nyman as a part of our organization!

4th grade boys have also wrapped up the 23-24 season, with great improvements along the way! Thank you Coach Petreikis! Looks like the team had a blast at their end of the year party.

They aren't done yet! The 8th grade boys continue their season with a 1st place finish at Medford today.

The NPBA would like to take a moment to recognize and congratulate our 6th grade girls basketball team for not only the honor of being selected for the state tournament but taking home a 4th place finish. These girls battled with the best that division 3 has to offer in the state of Wisconsin. Even in the games they lost, they were always within striking distance, stayed competitive and challenged every team. This team is known for making it to Coach Lenny's local camps, university camps, 10,000 shot club, and always taking the opportunity to work out with their coach in the off season. When you show up and put in the hard work, it pays off!

Once again, congratulations to Coach Halsey. Coach Julie and their 6th grade girls team!

Today's a day where we get to honor the progress of women's sports, and show Pride for our female athletes in our organization.

Let's show these Lady Eagles some love as they head to State this weekend! This will be the 2nd time that this group has been invited to the Wisconsin State Invitational!! Go get 'em Eagles! This year the State Tournament is hosted in Manitowoc, Feb 10th-11th.

Love seeing our teams hanging out outside of the gym. Team chemistry is built on and off the court. Way to go 6th grade girls and families!

4th grade boys wrapped up their season, with huge noticeable improvements throughout the year. Way to put in the work and push to get better every week!

Shout out to this guy! Coach Lenny! Not only is he coaching at the high school level, but he still makes time to come and work with some of our youth teams, and at various NPBA events. Thank you coach Lenny to your dedication to our program and kids in our community. 🙌
