With Winter in full swing, snow shoveling and even snow blowing can cause sore back, hips, neck and shoulders. Use the following tips to help keep yourself in tip top snow removal condition.
❄️Keep your hips low and maintain a small curvature in low back
❄️Lift with your legs and not your back, those large muscles are there for a reason.
❄️Push the snow, avoid lifting it. Snow can be deceptively heavy.
❄️Think symmetry: alternate the leading hand on the shovel. Whatever you do on the right, you should do on the left.
❄️REST OFTEN! Be sure to stay warm and well hydrated!
