Daisee's First Time to the Zoo!!! Daisee decided she wanted to go to the zoo on Tuesday. Don't let the pictures fool you though because she had a blast!! She loved looking at all the animals. She had a convo with a camel, and the camel was saying she was the most beautiful baby in the world. Oh, and Daisee wants everyone to know daddy ran when he saw a snake. Love, the 3 D's

Lil miss Daisee is doing phenomenal!
No more heart Drs they said everything looks just as it should. She will need laser surgery again. Just waiting on a call for that. We will be going to see the GI Dr next month. So we're praying we'll get her G-tube out then. We haven't used it since a week after she came home. Taking all her feedings in a bottle, at a good amount of time too.
Daisee did get real congested and a bad cough 2 weeks ago. So we took her to the Dr's. They just gave her some steroids and said to just suck out all the boogies. She's still a little congested and has a small cough.
Our little chunkers is out of newborn clothes and diapers. She's getting big. Daisee is now 9lbs! She has grown so much since she's been home.
That pretty much sums it up.
Lots of love The 3 D's šŸ’—šŸ˜Š

Daisee is doing great! She is off the breathing tube, no picc line, and sheā€™s taking a bottle! She is eating 48ml so almost an oz and a half. She eats from a bottle for 20 minutes after that they put the rest in her G-Tube. Her daddy and I are so very proud of her.
Daisee is weighing in at 6lbs 4oz. We are so happy that we can fully see her face. Thank you all so, so much for the continued support. Much love from the 3 Dā€™s. šŸ„°šŸ’œ

Today is a great day! Drs decided that Daisee can start feedings. So we gave her a bottle that had 27ml of breast milk. She did amazing! No Bradyā€™s, or choking. This mama is happy!

Daisee no longer needs to be on fentanyl. So they stopped that today. They put her on the Heated Hyflo (Later) she is on 2L. She still has the picc line in for her nutritions. She weighs 5lbs 8oz. Lost some weight but she will gain that back eventually. We are so very proud of Daisee and how far she has come.
Thank you all so, so much. Much love from the 3 Dā€™s šŸ„°šŸ’—

Sorry for the late update. Daiseeā€™s surgery went great on Tuesday. They found out that the problem was from back in July when she had a hole in her intestines. The Dr took out 12 cm of her intestines. They were able to reconstruct it back together.

The Dr decided that he would put in a G-tube as well. Since Daisee doesnā€™t do good with taking bottles. But hopefully by the time she comes home sheā€™ll be able to take bottles, and if not thatā€™s okay. Daiseeā€™s recovery should take 4-7 days. Sheā€™s our trooper.
We canā€™t thank you enough for all the support. The 3 Dā€™s love you all. šŸ„°šŸ’•

The nurses went down on Daiseeā€™s Later yesterday. She didnā€™t do too well with it so they went back up. A few days ago they tried giving her a bottle but she had a Brady. She seems to not like them or do well with them. Daiseeā€™s tummy was a little bloated so they stopped her feedings. They were thinking that it was air. They have a tube down to her belly to drain everything out. On Tuesday they will be doing surgery on her tummy. Hopefully after the procedure she wonā€™t have any more stomach issues. All in all sheā€™s doing great. Thank you for all the prayers, vibes, and support. Love you all and have a Merry Christmas.

Today Daisee is 5 months! She has come such a very, very long ways. So many facial expressions too. I gotta cut her nails cause they are getting very long.
So Daisee is back on the Later and itā€™s set at 3L. They say sheā€™s comfortable with that so theyā€™ll keep it as is. Sheā€™s weighing in at 6lbs 3.1 oz. Sheā€™s been doing good with her feedings, so as for now there will be no surgery. Daiseeā€™s shoulder looks so much better. Itā€™s just a small scab now.
Thank you so much for all the prayers, vibes, and support. The 3 Dā€™s love you all! šŸ’—šŸ„°

Daisee doesnā€™t have to be intubated anymore! So she just has the tube up her nostrils. She isnā€™t as swollen anymore and starting to look like herself. Daisee only has one infection now and thatā€™s from her upper arm plus she only has to be on one antibiotic. The Drs are slowly taking Daisee off of fentanyl which will take 16 days. The IV is out of her head and she now has a picc line in her hand. Daisee is able to be held now. So Dom held her today. Itā€™s been a month since sheā€™s been held. We are so happy that sheā€™s getting better by the day. Thank you everyone for the prayers and vibes over the past few weeks. We love you all so much! šŸ’•šŸ„°

Update on Daisee
Her shoulder was pretty swollen and red. They did surgery there and put a loop in so the puss can drain from that area. She does have an infection there. The infection specialist said theyā€™d like to stop some meds and start a different medication. Hopefully thatā€™ll help.
The drs will try to do an MRI on her shoulder if they canā€™t they will do an X-ray to make sure the infection isnā€™t deep down in the bone.
Once Daisee starts feeling better they will do surgery on her belly.

For anyone that wasnā€™t able to see the post my mama made last night or of others sharing. I going to add more updates of today at the end of the post.

Update on Miss Daisee:

The infection Daisee has is called Gram positive cocci in clusters. It's contracted through the blood. I asked the Dr how she contracted it and she said "that's the million dollar question" as she didn't have a central line at that time. (Itā€™s contracted through blood)
Sheā€™s very sensitive to the noise of the machines, light, talking, and touch. Theyā€™ve had her sedated and have given her a little stronger sedation to try and keep her comfortable. If needed they will put her in a sleep state.
The Dr said sheā€™s in a very critical state right now. šŸ„ŗ
They have given her antibiotics which have helped a little, but are giving her a different one (she will have 2 antibiotics) in hopes it will work better. They will draw blood every 24 hours to check on the infection and make adjustments if needed. šŸ„ŗ

The Dr from the infectious disease control came in and said they are doing everything they can and talked about a couple of things that could happen just to prepare us. I told him itā€™s in Gods hands, he agreed and said keep praying and God Bless you.

Dear Lord Jesus, I ask that You bring down an overwhelming storm of healing and joy onto our precious Daisee. I ask that you bless her with all of Your might. Surround her with angelsā€™ wings and encompass her in Your Holy Spirit. Lord, I ask for a miracle. I need You to hear our prayers and lift them up. Help Your child become strong, fill her with Your divine breath, and use Your ways to bring healing. In Your compassionate name, I pray. Amen.

So today Daiseeā€™s head is swollen but the nurses said that itā€™s in the skin and not the skull. Her whole back side is swollen as well. The upped the jet ventilator pressure to help with the fluids in her lungs. They also upped the fentanyl cause she likes it and is able to tolerate sounds a little bit more. They were able to put a catheter in last night and sheā€™s not really p*eing much so they gave Daisee some meds to push more out. They moved the IV to her head. The antibiotics are doing itā€™s job. Her blood pressure is low but not too low. For her platelets they want it to be at 50 but itā€™s at 43. They will be putting a squishy pad under her body so she doesnā€™t get any sores from her body being so swollen.

Dom and I canā€™t thank yā€™all enough for everything. Please continue to keep Daisee in your prayers, thoughts, love, vibes, and support. So much love from the 3 Dā€™s. šŸ’—šŸ„°

UPDATE: Drs found out that Daisee has a bacterial infection. Not sure how she got it. They will be doing an ultrasound, a head ultrasound, an echo, and more blood work. They moved her to a jet ventilator last night. Itā€™s a different breathing treatment and a fast one at that. Which makes her whole body shake. Daisee is pretty swollen right now. Keeping her on pain meds to keep her comfortable.

Whatever you do, whether itā€™s praying, vibes, or energy. We need it all right now. Daisee was super pale and breathing hard. So the nurses put her on the Later. Daisee started to get worse, couldnā€™t breathe on her own. So the Drs decided to put her on a respirator which is set at 100. Theyā€™ve given her antibiotics, done X-rays, and took some blood. Drs say that Daisee has ammonia forming in her chest. Her blood work came back and sheā€™s anemic. So they are giving Daisee blood transfusions. Her blood pressure looks better. We did ask if there was an internal bleeding. There is no signs of it yet.

Photos from Baby Daisee: The Story of Hope's post 11/13/2022

Daisee was moved back to the NICU the other day. They have her on an IV. She threw up an ounce. So they stopped her feedings. The drs did some X-rays on Daiseeā€™s belly and she has gas pockets. They tried feeding her again but she just threw that up. So sheā€™s just on nutritions and fluids. When Daisee was feeding, the nurses tried to give her a bottle and Daisee would gag, choke, and have a Brady. Iā€™m praying that once sheā€™s able to eat again the sheā€™ll take to a bottle.
Dom and I found out that Daisee has chronic lung disease. So they give her breathing treatments for that.
Drs are thinking that when Daisee comes home sheā€™ll be on oxygen. We still donā€™t have a date yet for when sheā€™ll be home. We still have a long road ahead of us. Please keep the prayers, love, support, and vibes coming. We really need them right now. The 3 Dā€™s canā€™t thank yā€™all enough for everything. Much love to yā€™all šŸ„°šŸ’—

Today they took Daisee off the Later. Hopefully she does well without it and doesnā€™t have to go back on it. They try every week giving Daisee a bottle. She hasnā€™t taken a like to it yet. Nurses say once the bottle is in Daiseeā€™s mouth she starts to gag, choke, and has a Brady. So they go with doing a paci feeding but on 5ml of it, then the rest is through the feeding tube. We visited her on Doms bday. Daisee definitely missed her daddy. She grabbed his beard right away and wouldnā€™t let go of if for a while. She is 4 lbs 4 oz. Growing so fast. Thank you so much for all the love, prayers, support, and vibes. We love yā€™all so much! šŸ’—ā˜ŗļø

Today was good for Daisee. Sheā€™s 3lbs almost 9oz. She was able to take a bottle today. Nurse wanted her to drink 1ml but she did 4ml which is great!! The specialist came in today and said that more than likely all the meds she was on is what gave her kidney stones because sheā€™s a micro preemie. Other than that everything is going great. We cannot thank you enough for all the love, support, prayers, and vibes. We love yā€™all so much! šŸ’—šŸ„°šŸ˜Š

Photos from Baby Daisee: The Story of Hope's post 10/07/2022

Yesterday Daisee had an eye exam. They said that sheā€™ll need eye injections in both her eyes. The reason is because she has a vein in both eyes thatā€™s supposed to be going vertical but they are horizontal. They will be doing an injection today. So every week they will do an exam just to make sure they are doing good. Daisee will have appointments set up in Peoria for more eye exams later down the road. Another thing is, she has kidney stones. The Drs arenā€™t sure how exactly she got it but has an idea of maybe from her meds. Sheā€™s able to p*e so thatā€™s a good thing. There will be a specialist coming in either tomorrow or Monday to make sure everything is fine and possibly find out how she got kidney stones. So please keep her in your thoughts, and prayers. Daisee did go up in weights she weighs 1445g thatā€™s 3lbs 3oz. Thank you all so very much. Much love to yā€™all. šŸ„°šŸ˜ŠšŸ’—
