We lost our friend full of sunshine, after a valiant battle for her life, over the last week. She and her true love, husband Eddie, have lead a life of love and happiness that they shared with all who have the honor of knowing them. Particularly as our Historic Edenton Bay Trading Co. Abacus Row is an independent brand of refined and understated jewelry. Our line reflects an unexpectedly subtle approach to beadwork. Thoughtfully detailed and meticulously crafted, each piece is designed for the sophisticated individual with a discerning eye and effortless sense of style.

Abacus Row was founded by Christine Trac in 2012. Christine’s work and appreciation for jewelry is shaped by a multicultural upbringing and an interdisciplinary background in ethnography and environmental conservation.

The founder, Isaac Morton, hatched the idea for Smithey while tinkering around his woodshed admiring the smooth surfaces and timeless logos design of vintage ironware. He developed an expertise in restoring beautiful old cookware pieces, which he would then gift to friends and family.

After years of studying collector’s books and bird-dogging rusty old pieces to restore to their 1890’s 19th century glory, the prospect of creating something new piqued his curiosity. Creating and sharing a cast iron cookware line that honored the classic style of vintage pieces, but also harnessed modern technology and processes, just felt like a good idea. And from that idea – that a lost art might be restored into a modern icon - Smithey Ironware was born.

STRAIGHT OUT OF ENGLAND: HAM Welcome to the world of Rabbit. HAM follows the contented life of Rabbit – capturing daily adventures, sporting escapades and social outings in silhouette form on a range of thoughtfully crafted wares.

HAM’s collection of ceramics and fabrics were first picked up by Liberty and have since been exhibited in London, New York, and Paris, featured on the pages of international magazines, and resided on the shelves of leading retailers in over thirty countries around the world including Conran, Centre Pompidou, Colette, and West Elm.

HAM is the brainchild of artist and illustrator Joanna Ham who gained a BFA Fine Art with a specialism in anatomy from Oxford University’s Ruskin School of Art.

Jo’s work seeks to celebrate the everyday. Informed by her studies and early career in design, she has always been fascinated by popular culture and uses Rabbit to shine a light on life’s simple pleasures - in particular how we interact with one another through work and play.

The Body Shop’s Forever Against Animal Testing Campaign, dressed the Rabbits in Moncler for their House of Genius Project, made gold leaf artwork for Print Club London, collaborated on limited edition chocolate with Coco Chocolatiers, designed a giant mural for kids design shop Molly Meg and installed public art Design junction Kings Cross x London Design Festival.

Jo has also wrapped a Mini Countryman in Rabbits, styled store windows for retailer West Elm, hosted at workshop at Institute of Contemporary Art Boston, exhibited at Colette Paris, run a pop-up store at Topshop’s flagship and created limited edition art prints for the cancer charity Maggie’s and the children’s charity Rainbow Trust.
