The spooky season Disney set of beeswax wraps has been cut and coated. Next up trim and package.
If you haven’t heard of beeswax wraps they are plastic wrap and plastic bag replacements. They are 100% reusable, washable, and work amazingly for bread, sandwiches, covering bowls, wrapping fruit and cheese… I use them every day for my sons sandwich, fresh baked bread, watermelon halves…
Available to order any time and will also be available at the fall pop up.

🍏🚨NEW PIE ALERT 🚨🍏
Everyone please welcome this new seasonal pie. It’s called Pennsylvania Dutch apple pie or Amish sour cream apple pie…. With the addition of CALVADOS 😳, not very Amish of me but it’s absolutely delicious. This apple pie has a sour cream custard that is baked with the apples and all topped with a streusel top. It’s the perfect combination of sweet/tart, and you all know how much I LOVE that combo. I promise to this pie will be the perfect addition to any holiday celebration or just a random evening treat. It also makes a great breakfast 😉
Currently available to order in the every day menu as one of the seasonal pies.

First 2 pies to go out, get passion fruit custard, give apple. Her story was so sweet, they are visiting her niece that just had a baby for the first time and they wanted to bring a nice gift. The gift of pie to a postpartum mom is THE BEST GIFT EVER 🫶🏼 Thank you for finding me on , I can’t wait to bake for you again.

It’s that time again… who’s ready for a super fun fall pop up? I have so many fun things planned for the whole family including a cookie decorating class (or 2) hosted by .oven. Plus face painting, slime making, and pumpkin decorating. There is still room for more vendors, link in bio to apply for a spot.

We labored on Labor Day. It was a team effort to pull all the vines down lol. The neighbors and a few others came to help. It’s still not all of it but it’s most of it. It’s about double what I harvested last year. If I had to guess over 1000 fruits! They will be for sale as soon as they ripen up a bit more.

September marks the 3rd anniversary of the beginning of The Loveday Kitchen. I’ve been a baker my entire life, and I finally decided to take the leap and start my own business. It started by putting pie into people’s hands for free. Taste this, try this, sharing my gift with others in hopes to draw in new customers… well here we are 3 years later and I’m still putting pie into people’s hands for free.
If you’re new to the rules are simple. I give you a free pie and you purchase one and give it away. Giving the gift of pie 🫶🏼🥧. All the details are in the link in my bio. Last day for pick up is September 24th. Happy y’all ❤️

Mac & cheese hand pies are back baby. It’s been a bit since they’ve made an appearance and long overdue. This is truly a carb lovers dream. Gooey, cheesy mac stuffed in a pie crust, sprinkled with maldon sea salt and baked until hot and bubbly. How could you go wrong?!

My affinity with celestial bodies is almost as great as those that come from the earth. For a many years as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with the moon and stars. Any chance I can get to capture them is a chance I’m gonna take. Tonight’s super blue moon was no exception. I will always have my head in the clouds, nose to the sky & feet on the ground. I pray you all take a moment to gaze upward and hold gratitude in your heart, every moment is a gift.

You can take the girl out of the kitchen but you can’t take the kitchen out of the girl…. Ok ok, I know that makes no sense because technically I was still in “A kitchen” it just wasn’t my kitchen. My son and I took a trip to visit my sister and her fam… and wouldn’t you know it she had a peach tree (with ripe peaches) and a very abundant blackberry bush. So of course I had to make all the things. Peach pie one night and blackberry crisp & cobbler another night. They also requested a charcuterie board which I was happy to make. The kids wanted to make cake pops and I have zero advice on that… we have something in my house called “looks bad, tastes good” the cake pops were that lol. They had fun and that’s all that matters 💕 she’s also gonna make pickles 🥳

As you all know I have a passion for food and beverages alike. I believe cocktail making is similar to making food, it’s blending flavors, knowing what to add and how to improve along the way. Well Shauna aka and I have joined forces and created a new spirits club right here in the SGV. We will be focusing on how to build a home bar and cocktails. Including mixology classes, tastings, and food pairings. We are doing a deep dive into all the spirits and their stories. If you are interested in learning about cocktails, spirits, and joining like minded people please join for all your cocktail needs. Our first meeting is August 11 and we can’t wait to see you there. My amazing neighbors text yesterday asking for a cream pie. I asked what kind and they said chocolate, coconut or banana… or any combination of the 3. They ended up ordering a coconut cream and a banana & chocolate cream pie. This combo is new and looks absolutely divine. Enjoy and fam ❤️

First successful pie class in the books. Randi has been a loyal customer since the beginning, even before the beginning. She’s remained a true friend and extremely supportive. When she said she was moving to TX I had to make sure she could and recreate a pie she dearly LOVES. We embarked on a 2 day journey of pie making.
Day 1: make pie dough, 4 different way. By hand, with a pastry blender, food processor, and mixer. If you don’t have all the fancy tools you can still be successful.
Day 2: roll, fill, crimp, and bake. This was the longer day, 4 hours to be exact. It’s a good thing she enjoys family time because today was that day.
I have the utmost confidence she can do this on her own next time. If not I’m just a phone call away 🫶🏼 thank you Randi, for your continued support, love, and desire to learn.

When the boss man asks for 6 pans of focaccia for a catering order, you make it… The sandwiches were caprese or chicken caprese with a basil aioli. Absolutely delicious, chefs kiss.

Welcome to the family brown bread. This bread is as delicious as it is freaking gorgeous 😍😍😍 This is a true sourdough loaf, made with organic flour, molasses, honey from , cocoa powder, water and salt, topped with organic oats. It’s perfectly soft and sweet with a crispy crust. There are a few people that are constantly sending me recipes… one of them is my favorite chef of … I technically made this for him but he’ll have to wait for a new loaf cuz it’ll disappear fast. Bring on the butter lol.

Happy 4th from my family and urban homestead to yours. I’m grateful to be able to continue to bake delicious treats for all of you as well as maintaining my own personal garden. I got a very late start this year so things are coming on slow. I currently have an abundance of cucumbers. I also cleaned up my garlic and braided it for storage. Picked all the shallots for their curing process and in a few weeks should be ready for storage.

Honey garlic shrimp (chicken for the carnivores), rice and salad with a carrot ginger dressing. I know I know, these are 2 different cuisines… but they sounded so good. It was a delicious, clean, refreshing dinner. I’m so grateful to be home and able to make a proper dinner. The whole meal took around 30 minutes, perfect after a long day of “summer cleaning”

🍒 NEW PIE ALERT 🍒
Cherry pie is making its debut this weekend. Let’s be clear, this isn’t your grandmas cherry pie. This pie uses tart, or sour, cherries. Typically called “pie cherries”, and oddly hard to source, these cherries offer the perfect balance of sweet & tart. If you’ve ever had one of my pies you know everything I make has amazing balance of flavors and this pie is no exception.

Currently available by the slice until it’s gone, whole pies are available to order for the 4th, and if you can’t wait I’m accepting orders for any day up until the 4th.

CHERRY PIE 🍒🥧 fresh tart cherries, with a hint of almond extract all baked in a buttery crust, perfect for any gathering. Also last years big hit, s’mores pie is back! Not sure what to get, try the pie sampler and make everyone happy.

Malcolm’s smash cake for his 1st birthday is finally ready. This idea has been living in my brain for months! I can’t believe it turned out so amazing, ok I can.
