🗣Reminder: Lancaster ISD will be closed for 🌸💐Spring Break🌼🌷from March 11 to March 15. This is a great opportunity for our students and staff to relax, have fun, and recharge. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and fun break! We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday, March 18.

📍Weather Alert: District and campus operations will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, with a two-hour delay. The delayed start time will allow the temperature to rise for our student walkers and bus riders. Bus route pick up times will be adjusted with a two-hour delay. Secondary start time will be 9:30 am and elementary start time will be 10:00 am. All extra-curricular after-school activities will resume tomorrow as well.

We want to remind everyone that morning temperatures will be below freezing, and students should dress warmly with a coat. We recommend layered clothing, including gloves and caps, especially for students who may walk or ride the bus. We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school tomorrow!

📍Weather Update: Due to inclement weather conditions, Lancaster ISD district offices and campuses will be closed and all after school activities will be cancelled Tuesday, January 16. The District will continue monitoring weather conditions for Wednesday, January 17, and will send communication to parents and guardians if campus operations are impacted. Please stay safe and warm.

We will welcome our students back to school on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Lancaster ISD campuses will have an early dismissal on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Secondary campuses will be dismissed at 12 p.m., and elementary campuses will be dismissed at 1 p.m.

🥳Lancaster ISD is pleased to announce the appointment of Lancaster STEM Early College High School (LSECHS) Principal Anthony Thornhill to the district leadership team as the new Director of Technology.

As the early college principal, Thornhill has demonstrated a keen understanding of the intersection between education and technology. He has played a pivotal role in shaping a progressive learning environment while overseeing the implementation of technology-driven initiatives.

"Serving as the Lancaster Early College Principal has been truly rewarding. Witnessing numerous students earning their associates' degrees, celebrating top-ten graduates, and even having a valedictorian and National Merit scholarship winners has been a source of pride. The unwavering support from our parents has made this experience the most rewarding work I've done so far in my career," Thornhill acknowledged. "With that said, I'm ready to kick off the transition plan with Mrs. Tippit, and I am eager to bring my expertise into play by merging my building and education experience with our district's technology needs."
