David left us on May 25th 2023. He left a hole in El Paso’s medical community and bigger one on the people who knew him. If you have never seen a surgeon smiling then you never met David. He was the antithesis of this. He was joyful and friendly. I actually met him a few years after his arrival to El Paso, serving at El Paso Children’s foundation board. In a casual conversation we discovered we both grew up in the same city and our parents had the same background. After that… instant brotherhood. He wanted us to create a Venezuelan Medical association in El Paso, He was busy and full of projects but always had time to reconnect with his friends. The last time we saw each other I remember telling him he was the most GQ surgeon I knew, he told me he dressed up expecting us to meet 😅😞. I’ll sure miss you VSOP

Should we have the same jn ? Out STI cases have been increasing over the past 3 years. Go follow my buddy he is amazing educating the community. A county in Pennsylvania is currently providing free condoms to its citizens in an effort to tackle historically high incidence of STDs.

The condoms are being sent out by mail as part of the campaign, which is being managed by the local health department.

The campaign was launched in response to an increase in syphilis and Chlamydia infections in the county, which are also on the rise nationwide.

The initiative aims to promote safe s*x practices and widen access to contraception.

This little lady had come to rounds with me tonight. Its hard to be a dad and have so many patient care responsibilities. I frequently take my kids to join me for rounds.
