Toys
I often share the arrivals, adoptions and other big events with the pups but there’s so many little milestones in between that I’m unable to capture on video. The other day I was able to get a video of one of the little things. When pups arrive they are usually scared, skittish and very confused. For example, we start with a pad in the playpen. Next we introduce a small blanket which is very scary to most of them at first, then move to an actual pet bed. Some move faster than others but all eventually get there. If they stay long enough, they get to experience sleeping in our room. Another milestone is playing with others or with toys. I was able to get a short video showing a few of the pups picking out their favorite toys from the basket. These are the moments, along with the rescues and adoptions that make all those long exhausting days so worth it. Thank you for sending toys and other gifts for them to experience!! ☺️🐾🐶💕

Valentine
Valentine is finally playing again. Bless her little heart, every time she makes a friend, they get adopted. Hopefully Theo will be here until she gets adopted. 😊🐾💕🐶

There has been a lot of things going on at LGR this week and it’s not over yet! Constant bathing, brushing, drying and grooming, puppies had their first vet visit (all good), Valentine’s appt was scheduled at Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital at the end of the month, Harley and Merlot are currently at the vet, Harley getting a dental cleaning, yearly vaccinations and lab work to check his numbers and Merlot getting her spay and any vaccines that she’s needing. I took in another rescue (I will post about him later) and LolliPop came back (no fault of hers). Sparkle will go to the vet later today to check her labs and hopefully lower her medication. Valentine
Little Valentine “V” who was given the least amount of care before coming to LGR, now cares for others, there’s a life lesson here. Don’t stay in the past, be grateful for your blessings now and bless someone else. She is so resilient. She is also very inclusive with the other pups and initiates play time even though she was alone, kept in a cage separated from the other pups. Be like V 🥰🐾🐶💕

First taste of goats milk
We made it back from Belize and I really missed all of the pups. I have a lot of catching up to do with grooming, adoption applications/adoptions, vetting and everything in between. I’m scheduling phone interviews over the next 3 days, if you are wanting to be considered for one of the pups that I currently have here at LGR, get your application in ASAP!!
