YEIE raffle winner shows off her riding skills today at the YEIE facility. This is a twin prize that was surprisingly picked.thanks to the kids that turned down their bike prize because they did not want a bike or already had a bike There's only 1 bike prize per household and the little boy won a scooter This pull in addition to several other was a huge surprise as I knew the winning children, not by name but when they came to pick up the prizes they either attend our after school program or have joined the parents coming to receive benefits. This mother was so grateful because she did not know how Christmas was going to happen this year for her kids It was an absolute blessing 🙌 #AHELPINGHANDUP #ITTAKESAVILLAGE

Special little visitors of today 😁 Thank you for allowing YEIE to capture the moment and give your family that helping hand up 🥰 This brings back memories 😇😇 I remember being a child in a household with 6 of us kids at home. My mother, A single mom most of the time struggling to feed us, we went to bed hungry many nights. Sometimes it was as many as 12 of us including my step sisters and brothers living in one house Imagine 12 kids, HUNGRY.. We were hungry too, kids are always hungry If had to count in total its about 20 of us full/ half and step siblings.. I am sharing my personal experiences because I understand first hand what food insecurities feels like.
