Today, I had the pleasure of joining UTEP - The University of Texas at El Paso for the groundbreaking of the new Texas Western Hall. During the 87th Legislative Session, I had the distinct privilege of co-authoring a bill which secured $52 million towards the construction of this state-of-the-art learning complex. Today’s groundbreaking marks the beginning of a new chapter, one that holds immense promise for Miner students and will be a symbol of opportunity and what is possible in the borderland. Our office had a great time giving away backpacks to students at Moreno Elementary School today! With the support of GECU and our community partners, we were able to donate 464 backpacks to supply students with the tools they need for a successful school year! #txlege
