Gage was hitting the ball hard tonight he had a Grand slam. And a few other hard shots to the outfield. He earned the Big Bat chain!
Next up Teegan was a vacuum in the infield tonight and almost had him a close out from 3rd to 1st. Teegan earned the Hustle and Grit award

Jett Hardin was out there hitting lasers. His first at bat was a shot straight to the fence for a homerun. At his second at Bat he smoked a triple. Jett's hard work on his own is starting to show off. He earned the big bat chain.

Carder Brinkman got the opertunity to play 3rd base tonight. He made an amazing catch from a throw at right center. And put a good tag on the base runner. Keep it up Carder. He earned the Hustle and Grit chain.

The Young Guns came up short on the Burger Day Tournament. We played some great defense but just could not seem to get them bats going all weekend. The chain winners for the weekend are.
Kash Brothers. He Played lights out on 1st base this weekend. He scooped a few screamers up out of the dirt that came in hot from 3rd base. On one he the ball jammed his finger but he still secured the out. Kash had a lot of key outs at 1st on the weekend. This kids bat was on fire to he was knocking the ball all around the field! Kash earned the Hustle and Grit chain.
CJ Tyler earned the big bat award. He didn't get to play in our bracket game on Sunday because of church. But he went 5/5 on Saturday during pool play. And almost laid down the most beautiful bunt ever that went foul by 2 inches. Cj battled back from quite a few 2 strike 5 pitch count, and managed to put the ball in play to do whatever it takes to get on base. He also Hustled out of the box on every at bat. You can definitely tell CJ has been putting in work on his own away from team practices.

Well the boys came out on top. The dads were holding lead until the last inning and the moms got out there and they boys ran away with it. Mom's had 2 outs but they could stop the bleeding and they boys kept knocking runs in. Despite the extra effort slide into home by Andy's mom Christina the boys held the moms to only 1 run in the last inning.
But in all seriousness these little guys wanted the victory bad!
The kids vs parents scrimmage was a hit !

Congratulations to Rowdy for earning the "Kids of Character" award for his outstanding character! Rowdy is a positive team player who always shows up with a smile and joke to crack. He works hard and is getting better every season! Keep up the great work, Rowdy!

Congratulations to Ryker "the Jet" Penwright for getting A honor roll. Ryker can play any position on the field and does so with out question. He is leading the team in HR's this year, He is a speed demon around the bases. Keep up the good work on the field and in the classroom. The Young Guns are proud of you !

Congratulations To Kash Brothers, he received Student of the Month and Citizenship award. Kash is one of the hardest workers on the team and always doing extra work on his own. He has one of the best attitudes and personalities that a kid could have. Keep up the good work both on the field and in the classroom. The Young guns are proud of you!

Happy 8th birthday CJ. This dude has came along way this season after taking a break from 5u teeball and now playing 8u as a 7u player. He is speedy on the bases and gobbles up any ground ball hit to him, his bat has finally came along and he will beat out 90% of balls hit in the infield. CJ has a pure heart of gold and works hard to achieve his goals!

First off Andy went was ripping line drives all over the field tonight. And about took out coach with a line drive right up the middle. He earned the Big Bat chain.
And the man behind the plate Maddox. This kid almost had a pop up at catcher in fair territory. He dropped it but then fired it to first for an out. He was also blocking balls like a ninja out there. He earned the Hustle and Grit award!
