First Lancaster City deems itself a Sanctuary City. Now the Lancaster library is hosting a Drag Queen Story Hour for “babies, toddlers and Children.
Absolutely appalling.
Make some phone calls tomorrow and voice your concerns and displeasure. You can find contact information for the Library in Commissioner Parsons’ post.
“Drag Queen Story Hour” for “Babies, Toddlers, Children.” Really
Lancaster Public Library?
What are you thinking?
It is America. Adults are free to live however they want. But stop pushing adult level issues on children. Let them be children. Libraries should be places for kids to safely read and learn, not politicized social laboratories for woke ideology.
Why is it that the radical, woke left seems to be constantly upping the ante? No, I’m not talking about people who simply have a different philosophy from me/conservatives on governing. I’m talking about the radical far left. The communists/socialist group that brought written threats to the Board of Commissioners. The Lancaster City sanctuary city crew, who want to subvert and obstruct our laws. And now the people who want to push adult themed events on “babies, toddlers, children.”
For those who have asked, County government has no control over a local library. They are governed by an independent board. That board is appointed by local elected officials from the townships, boroughs, city that make up the area for that local library.
Here is the Lancaster Library Board: https://lancasterpubliclibrary.org/boardoftrustees/
You can also find Lancaster Library contact information on that website.
County government does provide financial support each year to the Library System of Lancaster County. The Library System is separate from the individual community libraries. It provides logistical support to all the community libraries across the county. I will be reaching out to the System to express my concern over this and to examine all options in ensuring community libraries are meeting basic standards of professional conduct and are not able to push adult themed events on children. No taxpayer dollars should ever support that.
Last night the Elizabethtown Area Republican Committee hosted our annual Lincoln Day Dinner featuring Senator Doug Mastriano.

With a long history of strong Republican leadership, Lancaster County continues to be a top place in Pennsylvania and beyond where people want to live, work, raise their families, and pursue the American Dream. Preserving our Republican values and principles, and fighting to protect our freedoms has been a critical key to that success.
Together, we can elect local leaders who want to keep our communities safe and hold criminals accountable; leaders focused on working with parents to best prepare and educate our children to be successful in life and not indoctrinate them; County officials who ensure your hard-earned dollars are protected and judges who understand it is their role to apply the law, not make the law.
We cannot sit this one out! Please join us at the polls TOMORROW, Tuesday, November 7th and support our Republican candidates on the ballot this year to keep Lancaster County strong and a special place for generations to come. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Our school board candidates are supported by not only our PA State Rep. Tom Jones, but also by Senator Ryan P. Aument.
Please don’t sit this election out. Make a plan to vote on November 7th for all of the Republican candidates on the ballot!
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
In Harrisburg, I have been fighting for excellence in education and empowering parents to protect their own kids from extremely graphic sexual content that has been found in many schools throughout our Commonwealth. On Tuesday, November 7th, I am asking that you vote to elect school board candidates who will keep Washington DC politics and extremism out of our schools. Please join me and support qualified candidates who will focus on delivering a high quality education for our students, respect taxpayers, and prioritize empowering parents.
Vote for the leadership our Lancaster County schools need! The choice in Elizabethtown is very clear Etown Wins! https://www.facebook.com/etownwins?mibextid=LQQJ4d
We know you aren’t fooled! 👇
SB 7 passed in the Senate!
Bill to Settle Issue of Sexually Explicit Content in PA Schools Passes Committee - Senator Aument Following a hearing yesterday which showcased the sexually explicit content currently available in some Pennsylvania schools, the Senate Education Committee today advanced Senate Bill 7, legislation sponsored by Sen. Ryan Aument (R-36).
We would like to take the opportunity to inform you, the voters, on our decision to NOT engage with LNP on their coverage of Elizabethtown’s school board race.
Across the county, LNP consistently fails to present the public with either a FAIR and UNBIASED presentation of the facts when covering Republican candidates, especially Conservative candidates. In fact the majority of their “news” stories are void of facts and instead are filled with left leaning editorials, opinions and agendas. Most of you know know this and because of this no longer subscribe to the LNP.
In Senator Aument’s recent newsletter he addresses the bias by LNP in school board races across the county.
“As you are likely aware, LNP has been attacking this effort and many of our courageous school board members, parents, and even students who have been brave enough to speak out. They do so while labeling all of us as extreme. Without question, they are trying to influence school board races just a few weeks prior to an election. It's wrong, and it will not work.
The extreme position is actually the one held by LNP and our Democratic opponents. They believe our children should have access to extremely graphic sexual content in schools without their parents knowledge and consent.”
We have provided Senator Ryan Aument’s full statement in the comment section below.
We believe wholeheartedly that our message as candidates is best communicated to you, the voter, directly without the spin LNP “journalists” add to most of their news stories.
We look forward to your vote on November 7th where we can send a strong message to both our Democratic opponents and the LNP. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
We could not agree more and thank Mr. Bowie for writing and submitting this letter to the editor. 👇
We must protect our children [letter] We are confronted with books being introduced into our schools that expose our children to graphic and sexually explicit content, and there are calls by some parents to have these
🚨 Attention EASD Taxpayers and Community Members 🚨
Next Tuesday evening (Oct 10th) at 6 PM in the Middle School Auditorium, the EASD school board directors will be casting the final vote on a $14 Million Athletic Facilities Complex.
The school board has voted to consistently increase your property taxes at an average of 3% every year with the understanding that the district is planning to use any excess funds to offset the renovation of the Middle School/ High School complex.
The community was not informed of the desire to have an “Athletic Facilities Complex” included as part of the “5 Year Plan” of facilities upgrades and renovations until a year ago when it was presented as “Phase 1” of the Middle School/ High School upgrades.
This “5 Year Plan” document has never been made available for public review. A feasibility study was ONLY conducted on the Athletic Facilities and not on the estimated $90-100 Million project to renovate the larger building.
Of course we understand there are challenges associated with the current layout and condition of the building and grounds. However, we feel that it is financially irresponsible of the current board to push through a project of this magnitude without completing the feasibility study on the complete renovations of the Middle School/ High School Complex.
A complete feasibility study would allow for consideration and prioritization of all of the proposed renovations and upgrades.
Fiscal responsibility also demands consideration of increased long-term future expenses such as staffing, maintenance, and utility costs that would be incurred from the addition of the Athletic Facilities Complex. These expenses are not incorporated in the estimated construction costs that have been presented.
For these and many other reasons we are asking you as a member of the EASD community to come to the meeting on Oct 10 at 6 PM to ask the board to postpone the vote on the athletic facilities until the feasibility study is done and made available to our community.

Huge wins all across Lancaster County last night for the Republican Party. Sweeping the competition on all levels county, municipal and school board races!
The endorsed Republican candidates for Elizabethtown School Board are Jim Read, Stephen Lindemuth, Danielle Lindemuth, and James Emery!
Just a reminder, that there are Democrats who have cross-filed as Republicans for the Elizabethtown School Board. THEY ARE NOT ENDORSED by the Republican Party.
When you go to cast your ballot on May 18th, 2021 remember that Kristy Moore, Sarah Zahn and Jagger Gilleland are not endorsed Republicans and are Democrats.
As the Republican Committee of Lancaster County stated, "Violence and destruction is not patriotism."
Every person who engaged in and supported the lawless actions at the U.S. capitol building should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. There is zero room for this type of behavior within any civilized society.
Hi folks, we have a limited number of presidential, congressional, and state representative yard signs for neighbors in the Elizabethtown area. If you need one, please email [email protected] to arrange pick-up in the near future.
