Rhythm beads are a valuable training tool to improve performance and are wonderful to increase relaxation while riding for both horse or rider. These beads are kept simple and affordable for the everyday rider.

The colors of the beads and tassels are customizable, so if you'd like a different color, just let me know!

Native Americans have used adornments for their horses for centuries. They used items such as carved beads from animal bones, feathers, shells, among other things, to decorate and honor each horse. To Native Americans, these adornments were powerful pieces and provided spiritual protection. Rhythm beads are inspired by these adornments.

Rhythm Beads are also known by other names on various other sources, such as horse necklaces, balance beads, speed beads, bear bells or horse beads.

These days, rhythm beads are used for many purposes and have many benefits:

• Anxious rider: The rhythmic jingle of the beads can be used to relax nerves or reduce anxiety.

• Students: The rhythmic jingle creates an auditory learning environment. They may be a valuable training aid to help students learn the beat of the gaits and practice posting and being in tune with the horse.

• Nervous/spooky horses: the gentle, steady jingle gives the horse something focus on other than the scary environment.

• Jumping: The beads may help in counting strides when you can hear the rhythm with each stride.

• Trail riding: The sound lets wildlife (and other riders) know that you're coming and reduce the chance of animals running into your path or into your horse.

• Rhythmic & harmonic ride: With each movement, the bells on the rhythm beads will jingle, enabling both horse and rider to ride in rhythm. This can help increase both relaxation and focus for rider and horse.

• Training: As the beads may relax the horse, they can be used during training sessions for increased focus, as the horse can focus on the rhythmic jingling and be less distracted by the environment.

• Some folks call these beads 'Speed Beads' and say that they've used them in order to get faster times at timed or speed events.

These beads are adjustable and we have size ranges available to fit ponies and horses of any size.
