Green soap that's supposed to be blue. I may be a bit rusty with my skills 😜 . My scale was misbehaving as well, so I'm not 100% sure all measurements were correct, but I'll find out soon enough. Happy Tuesday!

Quick post to announce changes:

I am no longer accepting out of town orders and won't be selling soap at our local market this season.

Other priorities have entered my life and soap making will go back to being a hobby - one I have no intention of quitting - so inventory is limited.

I will post as I make new bars, but it won't be on a regular schedule. Those of you who use my soap regularly know how to contact me for more ☺️.

"Take a walk through nature with tree covered mountains, misty highlands, and ancient forests. A fresh, clean, outdoorsy scent. Notes of fresh ozone and crisp fir needles, violet and lavender flowers and a dry down of rich patchouli, earthy oak moss, and smooth amber."

Silent Night is a new-to-me fragrance with a new sparkly mica 💙 It's hard to see the flecks of sparkle in the bar, but they are there and they are beautiful.

The fragrance itself is very complex which is why I copied & pasted the description from the supplier. It's a soft & powdery scent with many notes that blend perfectly together.

I will be upfront and tell you I don't smell any fir or any hints of pine. It's a nice fragrance tho and not overly strong.

Oats & Honey 🧡

Now that market season is over and I have made the decision to not participate in any holiday markets this year, I'm going to update y'all with my current inventory with this post.

Names of soap are in each caption of the photo except for Oats & Honey (I will take photos of the bars this weekend and share, but they are simply a remake of a staple)

All bars are $5 no matter the quantity you purchase. Some will fit into an organza bag and some won't so let me know if you'd like a bag and I'll let you know if your bar will fit.

Citrus Basil seems to be the most underrated fragrance I have in stock. It never sells well, but it is one of my favorites 💚

I have plenty left over from the market season, so if you've ever wanted to try it or have and love it as much as I do - here's your chance to grab a bar or two for only $4 ☺️

Oats & Honey

I added a bit of color to represent "honey" under the comb this time around. It's been a while since I've experimented with something new.

The soap has finely ground oats, raw honey and creamy milk added to the mostly olive oil formula. The fragrance is warm and yummy 🤎

I just made this today, so it will need about six weeks to cure - probably early November.

Sunflowers 🌻

With notes of sunflower, bergamot, cassis, verbena, lily, vetiver, sandalwood, amber, and musk.

Available mid-October

I had a request for small soap cubes for wedding shower favors this week and here is the outcome 💛. I love all the different colors & textures mixed together!

All about apples!!

Three apple-themed soap bars will be available in a couple of weeks. They will not be included in the September Sale, but will be the regular $6.

All three fragrances compliment each other and smell super delicious 😋.

Ellijay Apples, Apple Cider & Apple Sage

I'm trying two new fragrances and one new mica color today. On the left is a deep blue mica with flecks of glitter and scented with a fragrance called "Arctic Night". The right is "Sunflowers" with yellow clay and a brown layer inside.

Out of the bottle I'm not hugely in love with either scent, but I know from experience not to trust the first impression of a soap fragrance. It needs time to saponify and "become one with the soap" before a true opinion can be made.

I know we are a few days from the first of September, but I wanted to celebrate a little early and share a price change for the upcoming month 🎉.

ALL bars will be $5 during the month of September!!!!

Orange Peel & Sunshine will remain $4 and the smaller hand soap bars shaped like animals & flowers will still be $3.

I will be at the market this Saturday (Labor Day Weekend) as long as the creek don't rise or so they say! (in my case it will be if I stay well & don't hurt myself between now & then 😅)

I heard rumors that the temperatures won't be as toasty as they have been so it should be a wonderful morning to visit the market if you haven't done so this season. Hope to see you there!

Sharing a bonus Sunflower pic for attention 😀 Our Sunflowers have been a real treat this summer considering my Hydrangeas didn't make it through the heavy freeze we had back in December. I've missed the big puffs of blue, but I like yellow too 💛

I plan to be at the Ellijay Farmer's Market tomorrow morning - 8:30-12:30 in the court house parking lot. The high temps are *only* supposed to be around 85, so that will be a big improvement from last weekend 🔥.

I'm happy to share with you some fresh soap! It's been quite a while since I've made any and it was wonderful to be creating again.

The red is a new-to-me cider fragrance and shall be dubbed *Apple Cider* (and yes, it has a bit of apple cider added to it)

The other is a remake of *Apple Sage*. I used clays to give it a more muted color and it thickened up on me unexpectedly. I tried to make swirls, but I won't know if it was a success until I cut tomorrow. Fingers crossed it isn't a mess 🤞🏻😁.

I am healing from my pinch nerve albeit slowly. As of right now, I plan to be at the market this Saturday. I'm still unable to do any heavy lifting, but my daughter, Anna, will be there to be my muscles.

I won't be there today, but this will be a lot of fun! Christmas in July 🎅.

I've planned & purchased supplies for my fall/holiday soap collection and wanted to go ahead and start working on it this past week, but this pinched nerve injury has thrown my plans out the window 😞. Thankfully I have plenty of time - I'm just impatient to get started. I'll be making a few new designs and some favorites will be returning. I'm looking forward to making soap again once I heal ☺️.

Enjoy this backyard pic of our "volunteer" sunflowers from seeds last year and our resident deer. One of them has a baby who is just now big enough to come out of hiding and grace us with it's presence. It's funny because the sunflowers we actually planted became breakfast for these two, but the others they didn't touch 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I won't be at the market the next two Saturdays. Next weekend was a planned absence, but unfortunately I've managed to hurt myself (sleeping 🤦🏻‍♀️) mid-week and I am in terrible pain. I've waited to see if it would work itself out, but it hasn't so I'm visiting my miracle worker AKA, my chiropractor today.

Y'all, the pain has been intense and I have not been able to sleep 🥴😭.

If you want soap, I'll be more than happy to meet in town or ship as always.

I've had several conversations lately about solid shampoo bars, so I wanted to share a link to where I buy mine.

I have thick, textured (coarse) hair that is normal to dry and this bar lathers great and lasts a long time. I'm sure everybody's hair is different and what works for me may not work for you, but it's worth a try if you are interested in reducing your plastic waste.

I also use the solid conditioner as well and it leaves my hair soft and silky.

Sunshine is scented with a light lemon (Listea Essential Oil) and Orange Peel is a juicy orange fragrance.

Both are solid in color with Sunshine being yellow and Orange Peel a very light orange.
