This biotite is so flashy! Moody, too. Anyone else love all of the different forms of mica? ✋🏼
Good morning, friends! I hate to do it, because I’m really looking forward to hanging with you all, but I’ve gotta reschedule the live from the 30th to June 5th. I have family from out of town coming to visit starting on the 31st, and having the live the day before they arrive means either I won’t get to focus on them while they’re here, or I won’t be able to invoice and ship orders in the quick-yet-careful way that you all deserve. So sorry to postpone, but hope everyone can make the new date work! You can set a new reminder on this post and in stories. 💖
Fluorite is supposed to promote focus and concentration, but I really don’t know how anyone could focus on anything but these colors and the sparkle while wearing one of these bracelets. 🧐
Why are earrings so hard to photograph? 🤦🏻♀️ The lab drops are a lot flashier than they want to admit to on camera. This pair and more cute styles will be on the table at the live on May 30th.
We will have these unbelievable amazonite bracelets at the upcoming live! They’re made from 6mm beads and they really are this color. 😮 Amazonite is said to be good for prosperity and luck, and to be a supportive mineral for the heart chakra. Hope you can make it to the live to snag one! I finally remembered to add a reminder to a post, so you can set one here.
has been of my favorite stores since I was young. I’m old enough to remember when they had a shop in Henderson Center, and I always make sure to stop in when I find myself in Arcata. I made a visit a few weeks ago, with the idea of picking up some of their wonderful glycerine soaps for a giveaway, and of course I had to choose the Redwood Moss fragrance. I also had the pleasure of a chat with the owner of the shop. It’s so important to shop locally! If we want our beloved, irreplaceable stores to stick around, we have to give them the support that allows them to keep providing their unique, special goods and services.
Come to the live on Thursday, May 30, for a chance to win one of these soaps! I know it’s a ways away, but you can set a reminder right here from this post.
CyCy’s back at it! Hard at work on earrings for CyCy’s corner at our next live. 🎉
I’m running out of time before this Thursday’s live to give all of the new items their own featured posts, so I’ve combined a few for this one. Microfaceted sunstone with lepidocrocite, super gemmy green apatite, and Madagascar rose quartz. I hope you’ll come hang out at the live with me! It’ll be at 4:30pm Pacific, 7:30 Eastern.
💚 Green Opal 💚
A late addition of the live show table (which is almost ready for Thursday! Eeee!!), green opal is a stone of abundance and harmony. It has a lovely, lively range of shades of translucent green and earthy tan.
I realized it has been almost a year (!!) since I have been live. I’m so excited! Set your reminder on this post so you don’t forget to come hang with me in just a few short days.
New earrings ✨
Which pair do you like best?
1) Brass statement earrings with mother-of-pearl crescent moons
2) Steel snowflakes with blue topaz
3) Brass mushrooms
As always, ear wires are nickel- and lead-free brass, surgical steel, or sterling silver. If you need completely hypoallergenic niobium, I can swap any ear wires out for a nominal charge.
These pairs and more will be on the table at the upcoming live! Join me November 9th at 4:30 Pacific/7:30 Eastern. Set your reminder in my story.
🌋 Crazy Lace Agate 🌋
Crazy lace agate, which is also known as Mexican agate, is a banded chalcedony that is often brightly colored and complexly patterned. The grays, golds, and [usually rarer] red colors are produced by inclusions of iron and aluminum.
It’s a stone thought to bring joy, to ward off sadness; it’s sometimes called the laughter stone.
These are the most intense, interesting crazy lace agate beads I’ve ever seen. They have quite a bit intricate banding and patterning, but what is even more distinctive is the concentration of iron, causing the red color. They make me think of volcanoes. What vibe do you get from them?
These will be on the table at the upcoming live on November 9th. Hope to see you there!
🌊 Larimar Nuggets 🌊
I love the color and the shape of these beads. They are so vibrant, yet soothing and organic. And miracle of miracles, the beads were shockingly affordable! (If you love larimar, you know how pricey it is, but these nugget bracelets won’t break the bank.)
These bracelets will be available at the live November 9th. You can set a reminder on this post. Hope to see you there!
Dainty tourmaline!
These bracelets are for my petite bead lovers. While small in diameter - just 4mm - these beads have deep saturation and a lot of interesting variegation. The pink tourmaline is most prominent, but there’s green in there too, along with quartz and other trace minerals.
Do you like smaller beads for bracelets? Sound off in the comments!
☘️ Emerald ☘️
These sparkly, microfaceted emerald beauties are definitely more forest 🌲 than shamrock 🍀, but for some reason, I associate emerald with good luck. Maybe because it’s a heart chakra stone, and don’t we make our own luck when we lead with a heart full of loving intention? Well, I’d like to think so. 💚
I’m thinking I’ll shoot for November 9th for the live, since Thursday was the poll winner. So looking forward to it!
🌙 Green Moonstone 🌙
Last preview before tomorrow’s live! This is easily the prettiest green moonstone I have ever seen. It is so flashy that it’s almost iridescent. Green moonstone metaphysically is associated with the heart chakra. It is said to bring us in touch with the divine feminine and emotional intuition.
I will have these bracelets in 6mm and 8mm at the live on Small Business Saturday, 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern. Table scan coming soon!
🌞 Sunstone with Albite 🌞
Aren’t these unusual? Sunstone and albite are both feldspar minerals (like labradorite and moonstone). They both exhibit Schiller effect, or flash, so these bracelets have both the warm glitter of sunstone and the cool, white shimmer of albite. I was able to get beads in three sizes, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm, so there will be something for everyone.
Come see these bracelets at the Small Business Saturday live. All orders will be ten percent off!
All orders from my Small Business Saturday live will be 10% off! The discount will extend to website orders as well. If you see an item on the website that you would like to add to your live show basket, please send me a DM with a screenshot and I’ll get you all set up. 💙
✨Peridot ✨
The green version of gem olivine, peridot is also known as chrysalite. It often forms in igneous basalt, and is one of the only gems that form in the earth’s upper mantle. Peridot is a birthstone for August. Metaphysically, peridot is a stone of vitality and abundance. It is also said to bring restful sleep.
These 5mm bracelets will be offered at the Small Business Saturday live on November 26th at 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern. See you there!
🌲Chrysoberyl 🌲
Have you seen this mineral before? Chrysoberyl is new to me. From my research, chrysoberyl can have many different appearances, but this chrysoberyl is deep green with gold flecks. It looks almost like it is dusted with pyrite. Chrysoberyl is said to be a stone that imparts the qualities of discipline and self control. It is believed to assist with concentration and endurance.
These bracelets are for my statement bracelet lovers - the beads are extra-chunky 12mm. They will be offered at the upcoming live on Saturday, Nov 26th, at 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern. Hope you’ll come hang with me!
💜Purple Sphalerite💜
Sphalerite is a zinc sulfide mineral that is often found alongside galena, pyrite, chalcopyrite, dolomite, or calcite. It has industrial uses, in that it is an important ore of zinc, but it can also be found in crystal/gem form. Sphalerite can occur in many colors, but I have most often seen it in grays and beiges – neutrals – so the delicate lavender veining of these beads stood out to me as very special.
Metaphysically, sphalerite is said to aid with overstimulation. That struck me as being particularly supportive during the holidays, when we have so many demands on ourselves and on our time.
These bracelets will be offered in 6mm and 8mm sizes at the upcoming live, on Small Business Saturday, which is November 26th this year. An official announcement is coming soon!
✨Golden Mica ✨
Golden mica, like golden healer, gets its warm golden color from oxidized iron. These ultra-flashy beads come from Brazil, where the majority of golden mica is found. Metaphysically, golden mica is said to promote positivity and to increase one’s capacity to learn new information.
I only sourced enough beads to make two of these bracelets because this material tends to be on the pricier side - but I think they are worth the cost. (And I’ve seen them offered in lives for triple my price.)
Join me on November 26th at 2pm Pacific, 5pm Eastern to snag one of these beauties. 🔮
🔮 Purple Mica 🔮
Metaphysically, purple mica is said to bring stability and calm, and to help with acceptance and hope in times of transition. These beautiful, shimmery bracelets will be offered in 8mm and 10mm sizes at the upcoming Small Business Saturday live. Join me on November 26th at 2pm Pacific, 5pm Eastern to snag one of these beauties. 🔮
Silver and titanium aura quartz. What do you think of the new shape?
Another new bracelet for Tuesday - prism cut dragon bloodstone. 🐉
Two more new pairs that are coming down to with me on Saturday. If these sell, not to worry - I’ll make more for the live s a l e coming up on October 4th.
That labradorite, though 🤩
Join me and at this Saturday for Bargain Lovers Weekend! The town of Ferndale puts on a humongous town-wide yard sale the third weekend of September every year, and the Boardroom will be hosting Holly and I on Saturday, September 17th. I’ll have lots of spooky earrings with me, as well as the new Herkimer Diamond hand hammered hoops, gemstone bracelets, and more. Holly will have beautiful handmade heirloom-quality quilts. Come through if you’re local! 💚
Time: Saturday, 9/17, 11:30 AM - 5:00 PM (ish)
Where: The Boardroom, 406 Main St, Ferndale, CA 🐄
I ain’t afraid of no ghost! 👻
How do we feel about Herkimer diamonds? Drop an emoji in the comments! 🤩
Thanks for for the Herkimers!
Bats, moons, and coffins! Does it get spookier than these?
Shipping Policy Update:
Due to the increasing price of postage, and the constantly rising prices for postage and packaging and materials, I will be making a change to my shipping and handling rates, effective immediately.
Shipping and handling on all orders, regardless of value, will now be a flat rate of $5 for USPS First Class. (USPS Flat Rate will incur an additional cost, which will be communicated on a case by case basis.)
While I love offering free shipping, it has become cost prohibitive to absorb the expense. The alternative to charging $5 per order would be to add an upcharge to each of my products in order to mitigate the shipping and packaging costs. I prefer to be transparent and separate out the fee so you know exactly what you are paying for.
I appreciate you all - thank you for your understanding! 💚
