So excited to share this logo with everyone. My friend over at asked me to make this for her and I think it came out pretty friken awesome. Another logo in the books😍😍 If your local she will be selling her freeze fried candy at the Humboldt county fair for the next week and a half!!

I can't believe I forgot to share photos of this beautiful piece!! I have been quiet but I am still here working away in whatever free time I have.

I've been trying to figure out how to write this post for a while now, It's not something I ever thought I would be posting.
In October I took on part time temp work for some extra money and recently was offered a full time job, which I accepted.

When you turn a hobby and passion into a full time job it definitely comes with a new set of stresses, where is my next job going to come from? will I be able to pay my bills? is this going to last long term? What happens if the economy crashes and people can't afford to buy signs?
All of these what ifs took a really large toll on my mental health and I have made the decision to take a step back from my woodworking. I will still be taking some orders and still be making things here and there because I really do love what I do.
Moving forward I won't be doing any rush orders, and the orders I do take will be very limited. I also won't be doing any more large batches of family portraits( I will still do a few very small batches date tbd)

I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who has supported me over the years, encouraged me to chase my dreams and purchased signs from me, I have so much love for all of you.

This was the biggest job I've ever done. We finished up back in January and I couldn't be happier with everything. 5 accent walls, one of them was a two story wall, 2 slat walls, a Diamond accent wall and a chevron wall. So many hours went into this job. This house is actually for sale in Fortuna! 😍 such a unique one of a kind home.

Absolutely loving all of the things my allows me to make. I could have attempted to cut out this rattan pattern on my scroll saw but it would have quite literally taken me forever 🤣

WE GOT MARRIED!! we decided to run away to Vegas and get hitched and I'm so excited we did. I can't wait for this next chapter of our life. I'm officially Mrs Malfatti 😍

This is one of those pieces that I finish, take a step back to look at and think about how incredibly proud I am at how far I have come. If you would have told me when I first used a scroll saw that I would be making pieces like this I would have laughed.

These adorable back to school signs might be my new favorite thing to make 😍
These are made with acrylic and come with a whiteboard pen so you can erase and reuse them for many years! They also have a magnetic last day of/ first day of tag and if you have multiple children the names can be magnetic to use for all of them.

I remember when I first saw .wood.creative do a floral piece with the double backer I fell in love. I was so excited when this customer was on board with this idea!

You guys! I am so excited to be offering these again. I had so much interest but could not keep up with how long cutting, priming, sanding and painting all of those thin lines took.
That's where my new laser comes in! I want to be able to offer stuff that is more affordable, so I will be using black acrylic for the outlines. This cuts down on so much time which means I can offer these at a lower price!
And The best thing is they still look amazing.

Kicking myself for not taking better photos of this baby a while back. This 6 foot logo is the most challenging sign I've done to date. There were so many layers and different parts, standoffs, shading, rounded elements, the white frame around Sammy's but it was all so worth it.

Finished up my first overlay sign! I wanted to keep all of the detail in the logo so I used tips because she is the queen at overlay designs. I'm super happy with how this one turned out😍
