The Rainbow Service Dogs

Today, I put paper towels in Isaac's Ruffwear backpack to help him with body awareness. It definitely filled out the pack, but he was a bit unsure of it. We took a walk around the neighborhood with lots of praise and treats.

With a backpack from Ruffwear, I'm teaching Isaac spatial awareness. Right now, it's empty as he gets used to it. Next week I'll put a roll of paper towels in each side.

A hot Saturday morning in July and the Marsh is just teeming with life.

We went to Arts Alive tonight and Isaac was quite enthralled!

Tonight I think we helped someone break a barrier. We were on our last walk and saw a man walking nervously towards us, on the phone. Isaac spotted him and his tail started wagging, he loves people. Heard the man say, "there's a dog that looks approachable". He asked to pet Isaac which Isaac is almost always in favor of. The man patted his head and Isaac rubbed his head against the man's leg, enjoying the attention. The man returned to his phone call saying, "I FINALLY DID IT!"

First trip to the mall.

We stuffed a 12oz can of wet food into these 2 4oz containers. The remainder looks like an Andy Warhol painting which Isaac had with kibble.
The containers go in the freezer and are then used as lickie treats during training, especially to teach heel and focus.

We're dogsitting Frito for a few days!

Such a mix of enrichment toys, from KONG, Ruffwear, BARK and others! Stuffed with kibble, frozen blueberries, The Farmer's Dog and a sq**rt of Wonder Paws fish oil.

We also used the time to desensitize to gloves.

There was a parking lot sale today and I got a new plant.

Nice day for a walk.

A year ago, we picked up Isaac from Warnow Labradors and our lives have been forever changed.

It only took a 4½ mile walk and a brief Target trip to wipe out this dog.
