The past Wednesday, she was honored as one of the recipients for the The 5 and under 35 award at The University of Akron.

The 5 and under 35 honors alumni under the age of 35 who have excelled in their professional fields and made significant contributions to their communities.

Reniece absolutely love giving back to her community! This is one reason why she started Dream A Wig (DAW), to help children and young adult feel empowered and beautiful while they are fighting and living with a illness that cause hair loss. DAW create Free human hair wigs. What’s so cool about the program is the children can design their own customize wig to their desire new look.👑

This journey has been amazing.

It All Started with a dream that turned into a passion in 2017. In those 7 years I have created bonds and special relationships with our parents and our beautiful recipients that I am so grateful for. We have served hundreds of young girls and boys and we would like to continue to carry out that Legacy.

We are so thankful for ALL of our supporters. If it wasn’t for all of you DAW wouldn’t have been able to serve our community’s youth with wigs as apart of a collective effort to help them cope with the physical and emotional challenges of their illness that causes hair loss.

DAW offers children the opportunity to help design head coverings and wigs, free of charge, that will help build their confidence and enhance their self-esteem; as well as help them feel empowered, special and less defeated by their hair loss.
