Cleanse me with Hyssop: soap
Soap making is just something that I've been wanting to do for awhile and I've discovered it's fun!
Hey everyone! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted and soap. The truth is, I am blessed by being swamped with caring for our new baby, Serenity.
But, I finally have the last Christmas soap I had made complete. So if you have any interest in these message me and let me know and I’ll list them on Etsy for you!
These are the Sugar Plum Christmas soaps I’ve made for 3 years in a row. They are well liked and they’ll be $6 each.
For my faithful followers, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve made any posts and that is because our beautiful little girl has arrived! She was born on October 4th and we’ve been learning the new schedule since then! I’ll be getting back to some soap making I hope in November. And I’ll be getting the Christmas soaps ready that I’ve already made!
But here is where all my time and work have been going to recently:
Just cut the Sugar Plum Christmas Soap. It’s looking and smelling LOVELY!
I managed to reach my goal of getting the 3rd Christmas soap made today. This one is the popular: Sugar Plum Christmas Soap. It will sit in the mold for a few days and then be cut to cure.
On the other hand, the Pineapple Papaya soap is done curing and I’ll get it labeled and packaged today.
If you’d like one of these, be sure to comment or message, because it’s all spoken for except for 3 bars! 😀
Sometimes when you’re making soap and trying new oils and additives, things don’t turn out the way you would like them too. This spa bar that was going to be beautiful, accelerated too quickly on me and got too thick to look aethestically pleasing. I’ll have to remake it!
I just listed the other 2 soaps leftover from the State Fair. I have Caffe Latte, pictured on the left and the infamous Detergent free Beach soap on the right!
I know some of you have been asking, so I listed at least 2 of the soaps left from the State Fair today. I’ll probably list another couple in the next few days. Here are the 2 that are up:
Just finished making this beauty today! It accelerated pretty quickly on me so we’ll see what the finished product looks like when I cut it! There are 2 loaves of these, I just only took a picture of one. 😀
I finally have an update from the State Fair. I just picked up the remaining soap from it yesterday, so be watching for listings of what is left! I’m pleased with the results for my first showing. We made a net sales of: $166.00!
I just cut the Frosted Cranberry Christmas Soap! It looks and smells LOVELY! The beauty is that some things we may not like to eat, but we still might like how it smells. Curing time begins, they’ll be ready in 3-4 weeks. 😀
Just made the first Christmas soap I will be selling! This is called: Frosted Cranberry Christmas soap. It’s a really nice sweet scent. We’ll cut it after a few days and get a picture then!
Here is an update! I’ll be making the 3 soaps pictured for the Christmas soaps this year. I’ll be making them the next couple weeks because the baby is due at the beginning of October. 2 of the soaps are new ones I’ll be doing and 1 is a repeat from other Christmas seasons. If there is another one that you really want me to do, let me know and maybe if baby and I can get in a good routine, I just might be able to make a request! 😀
I cut the Pineapple Papaya soap this morning! It smells most like Pineapple.. but it’s LOVELY!
Hello loyal soap fans! I’m finally back to making some soaps before the baby comes! Today I made the last Summer Fruity scented one, and it is: Pineapple Papaya! It smells AMAZING!
The soap sampling table I was at this morning! They will be displaying the soap all week and next weekend. Hoping for good results! 👍
We’ve arrived at the Country Store here at the WV State Fair! My soaps are on display and I’ll be meeting and greeting people all day!
Here is the finished look for the Crayon project I did for a client this week! If anyone has any other events they would like small soaps made for don’t hesitate to ask! 😀
In the midst of making a little crayon project for someone for a little Back to School gift for staff. They smell like Fresh picked Strawberry! Oh so delicious.. 😋
The soap boxes are loaded up and ready to be delivered to Inwood this morning for the Lewisburg State Fair! 😀.
I just finished cutting the last Beach spa for the fair and for local sales. This one if you can imagine yourself looking at the Sea or Ocean from a distance and seeing layers of waves come into shore rather than focusing in on a big wave, like I normally make them look.
How do you like this new look? It’s the Caribbean waters this time! 😀. Ones I hope someday to get back to experience!
Exciting Happenings and Important Updates! Please check this out!
I have also just listed the beautiful layered Lavender soap that’s been done since June and I just haven’t had time to post it.
They are $6.50 each on Etsy and $6 each if you request them locally. Again, Etsy has raised some fees so I’m having to charge more on Etsy than I used to. But these are very worth the price, mine last me at least a month, if not more! 😀
I just got these beauties up on Etsy. They are listed at $6.50 on the site. If you’re local and request them, they are $6 each.
I LOVE these! The smell reminds me of a freshly clean baby! Almost a powder like scent, but no powder! 😀
Check them out! There are only 5 of them for now, the rest are being displayed at the State Fair.
You really have no idea how these Beach soaps will turn out until you cut them. Your just pouring in the different colors at the right temperature for swirling and then you wait to see it.
I like how some of these swirls remind me of Van Gogh’s, Starry Night a little bit. These are for the State Fair along with another batch I’ll be making this week. If there’s any left after the fair, I’ll be selling them! 😀
Just completed another Beach soap project! This was one of the main requests for the Lewisburg State Fair, so I abliged!
I will make one more beach soap next week for the same event and it will be more Caribbean water looking. And then, I can wipe the sweat off my brow for a bit knowing that I finally completed everything I needed to get done!
Just finished making a double batch of Winter Custard for a family. They have 7 children, so it takes quite a bit of soap to keep them going for awhile.
If you’d ever be in need of a full batch which is 10 bars, I can do that for you as well. And I give a little price break the more you get! 😀
These turned out Beautiful! These are the Baby Lavender soaps that will be going to the State Fair with me.
They are palm oil free and in it’s place I used shea butter. Very excited to check interest levels. Let me know if you’d be interested in the future!
I just finished cutting this Caffe Latte soap. I changed up the design a bit for something different.
These will all be going to the Lewisburg State fair in August, BUT, whatever doesn’t sell at the fair will be sold locally or on Etsy when it’s over. So.. stay tuned and watch if you like these!
Today was a bit smoother and I completed my first Baby Lavender soap! I’m very excited about this one! It’s made to be extremely gentle and cleansing for babies. Not for their hair because it’s not tear free, it’s still made using lye, but it can be used on their bodies without a problem. All natural!
It’s been one of those days that I’m sure we all have! I woke up to a dog that had diarrhea all over our living room carpet and I already had a lot to do today. I managed to rearrange the schedule, clean the carpet, get the house smelling better and make the first soap of the week. This is the Caffe Latte soap that half of will go to the State Fair! Now unto the rest of the day!
Happy 4th everyone! This week I’ll be making 2 more soaps for the State Fair: Caffe Latte and a Baby’s Lavender soap.
Just finished cutting the Watermelon Sugar soap. It turned out LOVELY! And if you’re a sweet fruit scent person, this is for you!
5 will be going to Lewisburg State fair and the other 5, I’ll be selling locally. So let me know if you want 1! 😀
Just finished cutting the Tangerine Lemongrass soap! It turned out really nice. This one has 8 already going on display at the Lewisburg State Fair and the other 2 are spoken for as well.
If this is one you’d really like to try just message and let me know and I can easily make more! 😀
It’s the season for Watermelon and Watermelon Sugar soap! I LOVE looking at the luscious watermelons this time of year and it could be in your bathtub! 😀. Some of these will be for display at the Lewisburg State Fair and the rest will be sold on Etsy or locally. So get your request in!
Just finished another Tangerine Lemongrass soap because the last one I made was so popular. Most of this one will also be going to show at the Lewisburg State Fair.
Just finally listed the new Cotton Candy whipped soap in my Etsy shop. It’s a really sweet smell and lathers really nice! Try it out!
I’m soo happy with how these turned out! Most of these will be going to the Lewisburg State Fair but I will be selling 5 elsewhere. Here is the: Oatmeal, Milk and Honey bar. It will cure now for 4 weeks!
We’re all set up and ready for the Milk Fest! The sun is starting to come out and we hope the wind dies down a bit as the day goes on! 😀
