Food comforts us. Instead of eating foods that temporarily lift your mood and blood sugar, eat things that improve your mood long term.
Fatty fish: high in omega, improving brain function and lowering depression
Clean dark chocolate: contains flavonoids, reducing inflammation

Quick and easy dinner: GF Vegan Alfredo
What you will need:
1️⃣1 box gluten free pasta
(I like Jovial Farfalle)
2️⃣ 1 cup broccoli
3️⃣ 1 cup spinach
4️⃣ 2 cloves garlic
5️⃣ 1/2 cup cut tomato
6️⃣ Primal kitchen Alfredo sauce (this is a good option for a quicker recipe)
7️⃣ choice of protein (organic chicken or venison is my preference)
*if you prefer to make your own I like Alfredo recipe
Boil pasta *make sure to not over cook- pasta will be in heat when mixing sauce in
Sauté protein in cast iron with olive oil and 2 garlic cloves diced
Rinse pasta- in the same pot add 1 tablespoon olive oil and turn burner on low-medium- sauté veggies for 4-5 min.
Turn burner on low, mix in Alfredo and protein to sautéed veggies. Heat for 4 min, then add pasta and mix.
Simmer all ingredients on low for 6-7 min.

Organic: Certified organic is best, unless buying from a local farmer who may not be able to afford that designation. Conventionally raised animals are often kept in unhygienic conditions and fed unnatural diets (GMO corn and soy). American diets are much higher in omega 6 due to the highly processed methods we use to create our food.
