did you know that young living has a line formulated specifically for babies? we love the entire seedlings line, and use the calm oil every single day!
seedlings calm is pre-diluted with coconut oil, so it’s safe to apply to even the most sensitive skin right out of the bottle. pop a roller top on and you’re ready to go! or stretch it a little further and dilute it down a little bit more by putting the entire bottle in a 10 ml roller, topped with fractionated coconut oil.
roll on the bottom of your little one’s feet or behind their ears at nap + at bedtime to promote feelings of calm and relaxation. we’ve been using this for sleep support with our 8 month old since birth and will probably send it to college with her because it’s. that. good. 😴
our local zoo reopened this week, so we ventured out yesterday! pulled out the big guns to keep our hands clean between washes without all of the harsh chemicals, fragrance, or solvents that can actually be immune suppressing.
having so many tools in our wellness arsenal has made finding balance between getting back to living our lives without fear + making safe, educated decisions so much easier.
one of the biggest, most impactful changes we’ve made has been ditching the chemical filled dumpster fire that was windex, pledge, lysol, and clorox and switching to something toxin-free and SAFE to use around our babies - thieves household cleaner.
did you know that there’s literally a warning on the clorox wipes container not to touch them with your bare hands?! 🥴 the instructions for accidental ingestion of thieves cleaner are, “drink extra water.” and that’s it.
now this is all we use and we’ve never looked back.
if you don’t want to read about periods, scroll on.
flow. shark week. girl time. whatever you want to call it. my periods have always been awful. home in bed, puking, sweating, cramping, miserable for days. and they’ve just gotten worse with each baby.
these two things have been my saving grace and I wish period talk wasn’t so taboo so everyone would know about them.
🐉 dragon time
this was one of my first ~expensive~ oils. and it was worth. every. penny! I pop a roller top right on this and roll it directly onto my lower abdomen. my cramps are n o t h i n g like they used to be! this was one of the oils that made me a believer in all of this.
🐉 flow roller
20 dragon time
20 panaway
10 peppermint
10 clary sage
10 lavender
I roll this on my abdomen and across my lower back and apply a heating pad over it. it helps in minutes! cramping, bloating, nausea, aching - gone.
get back to living your life instead of miserable in bed, ladies! this stuff is magic.
shower scrubber hack! 🚿
moms multitask. it’s just what we do. I used to keep a magic eraser in our shower to wipe it down a few times a week 🥴 now that we’re actively making cleaner, natural choices, this is what we use instead!
in a refillable scrub brush, add:
+ 2 capfuls thieves cleaner
+ 2 tbsp thieves dish soap
+ 10 drops lemon eo
+ 10 drops tea tree eo
+ top with water
keep in the shower and scrub down the walls/tub 1-2 times a week to keep grime from building up over time.
both the scrubber and the shower hooks can be found on our “oily amazon favorites” list here: http://a.co/bcglcWL
diy carpet + mattress deodorizer
if you have kids or pets or husbands who wear their shoes in the house, this one’s for you!
in a small bowl, mix:
+ 1 cup baking soda
+ 10-15 drops lavender
+ 10-15 drops purification
and pour into your container. spray carpet or mattress with thieves cleaner, sprinkle mixture generously, and let sit until dry. I try to leave it overnight if I can. vacuum it up and you’re done! for tougher stains I use our little green machine vac for some extra scrub.
this stuff is magic takes stains and smells out so well! if you’re moving into a college dorm or have a kiddo who is, sprinkle this on the mattress before you put your bedding on. bed wetter? use this. dogs or cats p*eing on your rugs? this will fix it.
purification is a blend of citronella, rosemary, lemongrass, tea tree, lavender, and myrtle essential oils. it is the BEST for actually eliminating stinky smells, not just masking them. tea tree is especially amazing because it’s anti-fungal + anti-bacterial! p*e germs don’t stand a chance. 👊🏻

I know that shutran is marketed for men, but hear me out: this stuff smells AMAZING. I ordered it for my husband and ended up taking it for myself. 😅
did you know that young living’s products are so concentrated you can mix them with water to stretch them even further? more product, less $$ - win win. I dilute the shutran wash with water and a little aloe vera gel and put it in a foaming soap container, and it is SO good this way! you can do this with any young living bath + shower gel.
🧼 here’s the ratios I use:
+ 4 tbsp shutran wash
+ 2 tbsp pure aloe vera gel
+ top with water
that’s it! this could not be more simple. and this container looks so much prettier in the shower! you can find it and the aloe vera on my oily amazon favs list here: http://a.co/bcglcWL
diffuser cleaning day! ✨
it’s important to regularly clean your diffusers to keep them running at their best, and to extend their life as long as possible. we try to get ours cleaned every other week, sometimes it’s more often and sometimes it’s less.
here’s how we like to do it:
+ add 1 capful of thieves cleaner to each diffuser base and let sit at least 20 mins
+ soak remaining parts with HOT water and 2 capfuls thieves cleaner
+ scrub all parts with toothbrush and rinse
+ detail clean with a qtip and rubbing alcohol
+ reassemble and return diffusers to their homes, add 5-7 drops lemon eo and run as usual
your diffusers will sparkle and your house will smell so fresh + clean! check out our “clean diffuser” highlight on instagram for more in- depth steps and tips! 👇🏻

yeast diaper rash cream 👶🏼
two weeks ago our seven month old had a diaper rash that would. not. go. away. we tried several rash creams, ointments, and even different diaper brands. nothing helped. after some googling and back + forth with the pediatrician, we decided to treat it like a yeast rash. I really didn’t want to take her into the clinic if I absolutely didn’t have to. we diy-ed some toxin free cream, and guys, this stuff is MAGIC! this combined with lots of diaper free time and a few apple cider vinegar baths cleared her rash right up.
here’s how I made it - in a small, glass container, add:
+ 1/4 cup unrefined, raw, organic coconut oil
+ 2 tsp powder probiotics
+ 2 drops lavender
+ 2 drops helichrysum
+ 2 drops gentle baby
+ 2 drops tea tree
I doubled the recipe and whipped it with our hand mixer. keep it in the fridge to keep probiotic strains alive! apply every change after allowing baby’s skin to dry completely.
okay...ONE MORE toxin-free laundry hack! we love our wool dryer balls, but sometimes the baby is screaming and the toddler is destroying the house and you have 1 pair of clean leggings left so you just need to get your clothes washed + dried and you need to do is as quickly as possible. let me introduce you to seedlings baby wipes! these are great for baby bums, but did you know you can use them as a substitute for toxin-filled dryer sheets?
let’s talk about volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs are gases released into the air from the use of products. VOCs may be harmful by themselves, or they may react with other gases in the air to create harmful air pollutants. they’ve been linked to respiratory illnesses, including asthma and cancer.
according to an air quality, atmosphere, + health study, VOCs emitted from dryer vents after using popular brands of laundry detergent and scented dryer sheets included chemicals like acetaldehyde and benzene, which are considered carcinogenic. (have the potential to cause cancer)
the environmental protection agency (EPA) classifies seven of the VOCs that were found in dryer vent emissions during the study as hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). are you sure you’re okay with covering your clothes and filling your home with any of that? cause I’m not. let’s make some changes, friends. peak at our laundry diy story highlight on our instagram page (instagram.com/oilyandorganized_) for more ways to ditch the chemicals in your laundry products! 🧺

but it’s all still sparking white thanks to this diy non-toxic “bleach” recipe!
in a glass container, mix:
+ 2.5 cups water
+ 1/3 cup hydrogen peroxide
+ 2 capfuls thieves cleaner
+ 15 drops lemon essential oil
pour in the bleach compartment of your washer just like regular bleach for the brightest, whitest whites! this is cheap, effective, and most importantly - SAFE. see ya never, clorox. ✌🏻🤍

If the bottle does not have a vitality label on it, but has a vitality counterpart, it is the exact same oil (always 100% pure oil). it can be used the same as a vitality oil. the label is different purely as an effort towards compliance with FDA labeling regulations.

115 Ways To Use Your Starter Kit
first up: VALOR
Valor is a newer addition to the kit, and I hope it stays forever! This guy is $52 alone when purchased outside of the kit 😳 It’s a top seller for its smell and endless benefits, especially because it’s known as the bravery oil! This is a big one for feelings of calm and confidence. Mamas, think first day of school, dance recital, big soccer game, test-taking days, trying something for the first time, airplane flights, kids in daycare or at church nurseries who are afraid without you, anything where an anxious heart could use a little help.
1. Stop pesky snoring by putting 1 drop on each big toe before bed.
2. Create a sleepy cream by mixing valor, peace and calming, and lavender with coconut oil and shea butter.
3. Stop night time scaries by making “monster spray.” Mix 15-20 drops of valor in an 8 oz glass spray bottle with water and a splash of witch hazel. Spray under beds, in closets, and anywhere else a monster might be hiding and they’ll be sure to disappear right away!
4. Valor is often referred to as a "chiropractor in a bottle" because of how we feel it aligns our bodies and minds. Apply to the bottoms of the feet and along the spine to help with alignment and ease back pain.
5. Helps with occasional soreness! Runners, swimmers, pogo-stick jumpers, this one's for you. Add it to some PanAway in a cream for quick relief.
6. Pop on a roller top and use as a daily perfume. Valor is a top seller for the smell alone! So so good.
7. Create a courage roller with valor, stress away, frankincense, and a carrier oil. Roll on the inside of your wrists and across your heart to promote feelings of confidence and bravery.
8. Add a few drops to the palms of your hands, rub them together, and inhale deeply before any event or activity that makes you nervous or increases anxiety.
9. Diffuse in the morning with citrus fresh and stress away to start your day off feeling confident and relaxed.
tell me your favorite way to use valor!
I can’t even tell you how many people have passed on the starter kit because they don’t think they need, or will use, all of the oils that come with it.
so, over the next few days I’ll share TONS (115) of ways to use all of your starter kit oils! follow along, and then try telling me you don’t need all of these oils 😜 or if you already have a kit, maybe you’ll learn some new ways to use it!
don’t forget to tag your friends + family so they can follow along too! 115 ways to use your starter kit starts today!
let’s talk produce. in a season of extra diligent washing, don’t forget your fruits + veggies! honestly, they are FILTHY. even organic items. from all of the hands touching it, people coughing and sneezing on it, to dust/dirt/bugs, preservatives being sprayed on it, and being shipped and coming into contact with who knows what else.
the EGW reported that the most contaminated fruits and veggies are peaches, strawberries, pears, lettuce, apples, cherries, bell peppers, spinach, nectarines, grapes, and potatoes. rinsing just isn’t enough.
thieves fruit + veggie soak is the most pure, effective, and natural way to wash your produce. it doesn’t affect the taste of your food and it makes fruits and veggies last LONGER. no more throwing out moldy produce. we’ve had this bottle for 6+ months and there’s plenty left! all it takes is a splash.
I do a quick soak before our groceries even go into the fridge! it takes an extra 5 minutes and the amount of dirt and other ick that comes off is horrifying and so satisfying.
