We thank Kirk and Sandra Kay Mundal for their generous donation from the estate of Don Mundal, who sadly passed earlier this year. Kirk’s father, Don, was a true outdoorsman and Kirk and Sandie want these items to be auctioned off at our annual banquet in March to help some youngsters experience hunting and fishing adventures, like Don did. These trophies had great value to Don and it is a true honor to help carry on Don’s love of nature and the outdoors.

A look at some of the fishing action from the Cyrus Resort on Lake of The Woods trip for 24 Outdoor Adventure Foundation recipients this past weekend! The smiles say it all! What an exciting time for these kids and their parents, who have been through some tough times and deserve a trip like this one! All of the boat captains were at the top of their game for some fast and furious walleye action! Thanks to everyone who helped make this trip possible.

What a great weekend of walleye fishing for 24 Outdoor Adventure Foundation recipients at Cyrus Resort on Lake of The Woods! Limits of fish were caught both days with old and new friendships made on the water and also gathered around the campfire. The Outdoor Adventure Foundation provided a fantastic Minnesota Twins weekend for 13 recipients and their family members at Target Field this past weekend. There were too many highlights to mention them all, but this video features some of them, including an awesome on-field tour for Dawson Vansickle with handshakes from several Twins players!

Another new episode of Dream Makers with host Johnny Piazza starting with some hunting for some veterans from the Nevada Outdoor Adventure Foundation chapter and Dawson Vansickle hunting white-tailed deer with his father Travis Vansickle! Both of these great hunts happen at the Bruce Pantzke Ponderosa property in southeastern North Dakota. Bruce is a great supporter of the OAF and we can't thank him enough for hosting these two great hunts! We have to thank all of our great landowner hosts, supporters and donors that make these great adventures possible! You can watch all of our Dream Makers episodes on the Pursuit Channel "We Deliver The Outdoors" and Pursuit UP at https://pursuitchannel.com/ We're also on Midco Sports and WDAY XTRA and Wild TV - Canada's Hunting and Fishing TV Network. A great Minnesota Twins baseball weekend for many OAF recipients and their families, despite a rainout on Saturday! What an awesome night for baseball Friday night with a walk-off win! Recipients hauled in three balls on the right field home run porch and another autograph ball on the field. We even made the big screen! Special thanks for all of our donors and supports that make this fun weekend possible!

The Outdoor Adventure Foundation had the privilege of attending this emotional ceremony for hunt recipient Dawson Vansickle as he rung the bell symbolizing the completion of his chemotherapy treatment for his Osteosarcoma cancer illness today! He has been through some of the toughest of times over the past eight months, including the amputation and rotationplasty of his left leg. This incredible procedure involved the reattachment of his foot and ankle to his upper thigh allowing for increased use of a future prosthetic. The bell ceremony was held at Cully's Kids Cabin, Sanford Children's Hospital, which was created through donations by Matt Cullen and his Cullen Children's Foundation https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100023949750921

The third time was the charm for OAF recipient Briley Thompson! She bagged this nice tom with her father Greg on the last weekend of the season this morning. After spending two previous hunts looking over lots of jakes and hens, a bird worthy of her finally came in after only 15 minutes in the blind. This tom has been doing some fighting as you can see by the state of his tail, and he's wet from a night in the roost with a thunder storm. Briley is well on her way to recovery from Hodgkins Lymphoma and feeling great, as all teenagers should be. Special thanks to host Jeff Johnson for making this hunt possible, and to all of our supporters that contribute to successful adventures in the outdoors for our recipients!
