In the fourth round of the state 3A East championship, Quarterback Deandre Nance and offense/ defense lineman Zaire Ealy were awarded the Lloyd Foster Extra Effort Award for their extraordinary efforts in the Falcon 32 - 27 win over Southern Alamance. Deandre, on the left, rushed for almost 200 yards, scored three touchdowns, four two point conversions, and completed two of three passes! Zaire, on the right, had an amazing 18 tackles on defense but had an amazing night on offense! As a pulling guard, he opened up hole after hole and allowed the running backs to gain big chunks of yardage in critical situations. Their efforts helped Seventy-First advance to the 3A East Regional championship game against Northern Nash in a rematch of last year’s Regional Championship game. This award is sponsored by Jimmy Keefe, owner of The Trophy House, Inc and Clark Sporting Goods. Congratulations Deandre and Zaire! Seventy-First High School 71st Athletic Booster Club
