And now that I look at my mountain of presents to sort and wrap… I realize what a lie I’ve been telling people all month… but, I got a laugh EVERY TIME and sometimes a “Thank you, I needed that!” So often we get caught in mindless conversations of “how are you today?” Or “ did you find everything you were looking for?” at the grocery store.

I like to shake up my answers! It always gets to laugh; and sometimes, laugh it’s just what we need to get us through the day!

Stay calm! Wrap on! 🎶Christmas time is near!🎶

I’m glad I don’t have to eat it! I especially liked the layering this time! While unintentional, the marshmallow cream drip is super artistic.

I’ve had a lot of complaints about this store over the recent few months. I’ve even been *that woman* who complains to the customer service, department manager, and even the store manager. I always feel heard, and I think they have made great improvements over recent months!

I hear a lot of negative comments about this location in my personal feed and other groups around town.
Today, I have some positive notes!

Chell at Publix Super Market At Summit Point made my father and me the most amazing toasted chicken tender sub! It was the special of the day yesterday, so I was a little surprised that they were out of tenders.

We stepped over to the meat counter and ordered some meets with Jorette , who always serves me with a smile, even though I like my ham shaved (my son and I swear it tastes better so thinly sliced that it’s falling apart!)! She remembered that my husband likes roast beef and talked me into getting some of the meets on sale, as well! What an up-seller!

By the time my meats were sliced, the tenders were ready and Chell took me immediately to make my sandwich since we had been waiting. I explained that I have a pepper allergy and she took the time to clean the counters, wash the knife, wash her hands and don fresh gloves! That’s the service I love to see, considering even small amounts of pepper can make me sick.

I told her how I like my sandwich and she made it perfectly! I bought some bottles of unsweetened and raspberry tea, paid for my sub and my father and I enjoyed eating them hot right there in the cafe area!

Then we finished our shopping with smiles on our faces and full bellies!

A+

Well…. Maybe just an A! They were out of chicken tenders at the start of the lunch rush on the day that chicken tender sub was the *sub of the day!* 😳

For any of my curly-haired friends, I urge you to go see Ms. Kimeko at . She saved my life and saved my curls! It takes a curly-haired Goddess to know how to treat us mortals with similar hair. She took great care of my son with his Fabio-locks as well as me with my pixie curls. I love KIMEKO and cannot recommend her enough!

She works on all types of hair, but I was especially impressed to watch her work her magic on a man, helping him to keep his facial hair nice and trim! I may send my husband her way!

And just LOOK at all these AWARDS our local store received from corporate?!?

Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful, too!

Today it was OUR PLEASURE to visit the CFA at Town Center where Ivy took our order at the counter for dine in service.

It’s not that we “try” to be difficult wherever we go, we just are. Sorry. I don’t expect for the staff to rise up to meet our requests, but I’m always grateful when they do!

My dad asked if he could have a ROOTBEER FLOAT- a family favorite. Ivy hesitated. David over-heard our request and said,
“- ring him up for a medium rootbeer
- ring him up for an ice cream
- give him an empty large cup!
And I’ll do the rest! You continue with the rest of the family’s order and drinks!”

Ivy did as she was instructed. David hooked us up, explaining that he does it for himself since they are technically not allowed —per franchise rules —to simply serve a “Frosted Rootbeer” or even use the cups for any non-menu items. I get it. I’ve worked for a franchise before! Boy, do I get it!

My father is a master mixologist; so, his IKIA-style rootbeer float was no challenge for him!

At the end of our visit, David hooked us up with refills and a drink carrier before we left.

Last night I spent the early evening with my father and youngest son at City Center Park. My son ran straight for the playground, My father and I were quick to place an order with MS Pizza Co before walking over to the counter at Line Creek Brewing Bus Barn.

Now, I realize I may lose all credibility as a food critic for admitting this, but at 41 years old, last night was my first night having pizza with beer!

🤯

Ok, I’m not sure if that’s my mind or yours, but now I understand what I’ve been missing all my life! I applied my wine drinking skills to my style, taking a small sip of beer before every bite of cheese pizza and the way the beer activate the taste buds to accept the cheese is truly phenomenal!

A little tip about the Pizza Co, they get SLAMMED during the rush of the night. Try to always place your orders early and expect to wait to receive it. While you wait, enjoy a beer. It’s an amazing park with a nice water feature. Take a breath, unwind from your day and relax!

Triumph Station is the Biergarten that I didn’t know Fayetteville needed. It’s a great place to watch the sun set. The playground keeps the kids entertained.
My dog loves trips to the dog park. It’s fun for the whole family!

There are always events going on. Like their pages to stay up to date on the themed nights, markets in the park, live music, trivia and more!

Welcome to The Georgian Critic! As someone who has spent her entire life working in retail/food industry, I feel I am the right person for the job in sampling products/visiting stores and offering feedback as to the level of service received and products offered. I am the type of person who will call the manager over to give not only constructive criticism and room for improvement but also and most importantly, praise of workers who are doing a good job!

City Cafe and Bakery has always been a family favorite. I’ve had a number of relatives visiting in recent months and all request a meal or two during their stay at this quaint German-style cafe featuring a phenomenal bakery counter. Our visits as of late have been even more exciting as Oktoberfest is well underway going on from now until October 21st.

Lexi and Christian are 2 recent servers who have stood out as providing excellent service! Lexi was our very attentive server, providing for all our needs. Christian was close by offering smiles, standing in as our second model, and providing to go cups when we were ready to leave.

Here are the pictures of our desserts (though, I assure you, our meals were just as exceptional!)

Whether you are in need of a meal or bakery items, this Cafe is the place to go for a fabulous selection fresh bread, pastries, cookies, large and petite desserts. Finish your meal with a treat or make a selection of sweets to bring home!

I highly recommend the City Cafe & Bakery to anyone in or passing through Fayetteville, Georgia!
