Culture and Heritage Alliance

Culture and Heritage Alliance is a one stop shop for arts and culture, offering engaging opportunities and educational experiences to enrich and expand the life of our community.

Specifically, CHA serves as a vital network of resources that brings indigenous artists together, working with communities and educational institutions to promote the works of emerging artists while fostering cultural diversity and education through the use of cultural performances, exhibitions, storytelling, presentations to groups, panel discussions and public cultural research programs. CHA is the proud founder of the African World Peace Festival (AWPF) in Downtown Fayetteville. AWPF brings together more than 8,000 people of all ethnicities, class, age and profession from all over North Carolina and neighboring states. Together as a community we celebrate with music, dance, food, exhibitions, fun and friendship. In addition to our 3 day music festival, we also hold a 5K Peace Walk/Run through Downtown Fayetteville and host cultural workshops leading up to our event. Our other events include the 2020 North Carolina African Film Festival (March/February 2020), Celebration of African Culture (December 2019) and Downtown Salsa & Swing Night (FREE Salsa & Swing classes at Volta Space every Tuesday night ‘19-’20).
