This is one of our clients choice of cabinets, countertops & backsplash tile👏🏼time to make their kitchen come to life!
Demo crew 🫡 🛠️🪚
Day 1 of remodeling our home! Stay tuned to see what we do with this space.
Customers shower was very small to begin with, so he had the plan of expanding it into his large landing/hall area
Once we started demo on the shower we saw that there was no waterproofing whatsoever, and good thing the customer never used it because it would’ve failed right away
In the end they got a massive shower and loved their own design choices for tile and stone. They also liked the envelope cuts on the pan using large format tile instead of a small mosaic. More grout = more cleaning, so they just wanted to avoid that
Bathroom Addition. Interesting part was the white tile up to the ceiling, but that’s what the customer wanted!
Another photo dump from a while back. Just trying to catch up on posting our old work online
Nothing beats helping out family. This is our parents house, and they wanted a new bathroom
Since this was out of pocket we tried to stay cost effective with everything we did, and just made sure to do everything right. Labor for our parents was free of course
Small Bathroom Remodel from a while back
RedGard isn’t what we use for waterproofing any longer because it takes too long to do it correctly. It’s still a waterproofing membrane, but you need to make sure to install it the right way or else you’ll have leaks. We take our time and do it right every time
Plumber was hired by the customer before we came in
Overall it was a very quick turnaround on the customers budget. They really liked the options we gave them and in the end they couldn’t be happier
Kitchen Remodel!
The dishwasher had a leak so:
- flooring had to get taken out, new flooring laced in and entire floor had to get sanded and refinished
- new cabinets, counters, backsplash
- customer chose out their own material colors/choices
Personally not a fan of the backsplash, but we do what the customer wants!
2cm Quartz counters, subway backsplash, and painted cabinets. Helped our customer buy, renovate and sell to make some profit!
Just some during construction videos on this small project
Small project from a while back
Closed off the office with French doors and drywall (seen in the background)
Customer wanted to keep posts and small pony wall to still divide the space slightly, so those are just for appearances
The floor between the two posts needed to be laced in to have a smooth transition between the rooms. Now it looks like flooring was there the entire time
A few small upgrades to this Rodondo condo (Oooh that rhymed!)
Made a huge difference in he feel of the place. LVP for floors, new semi custom cabinets. We worked with the customer when they had a certain budget to work with and were able to deliver most* of what they had in mind. By most we mean that mostly everyone has a dream of what their place could look like, but not necessarily have the budget to make it happen. We help figure out what the priorities are and how to get the most out of the dollar they spend. Where could we cut back on scope of work? Where could we choose a different type of material to make installation labor less expensive?
It’s great when a customer has a dream and has the money to make it happen, but that’s not always the case with every customer!
Cool little kitchenette addition in this split level home in Federal Way! The customer had a great room and a bathroom downstairs that only had carpet.
We took out part of the carpet, put in a small kitchen (fridge came in after we were finished).
Some challenges on this project were running a new electrical sub panel into the hall from the main panel in order to have enough power for this wall. We also saw some really bad plumbing when we opened up the wall and had to correct it in order to pass inspections. Electrical and plumbing inspections passed on the first try
Now the homeowner is renting out the downstairs for $1800, not bad at all!
Quick in and out with this tile with Ditra heat job!
This project included flooring, cabinets, countertops, tile, and base trim.
The customer dealt with insurance because unfortunately he had a leak, and when we came in he was dealing with not having a kitchen for a while already
We were able to help him figure out what he could do with the budget insurance gave him, and in the end he loved it!
Second project: shower (tub surround) for this customer! Kirk had the opportunity of teaching someone how to properly install tile. Wasn’t our favorite way of waterproofing a shower but we made sure it was done correctly in order to last a lifetime
1st shower for this customer! 2 or 3 other tile contractors came through and failed with the tile installation. This is white marble, and if you don’t have good thinset coverage you will get mold growth and the shower will look gray, which is what happened before we came in.
When the demo process started we also noticed that the shower pan was done incorrectly and would’ve led to a leak as soon as the first person took a shower
Homeowner liked us so much that they insisted we help out with the second shower!
Basement bathroom addition, main floor bathroom and kitchen remodels that was finished a few years ago
Very interesting project that involved concrete cutting to install new drain lines into the old cast iron pipes. Another project where we wish we took more pictures of the process and after pictures, but something is better than nothing!
This was a kitchen remodel project from a few years ago. Unfortunately we didn’t take good before and after pictures, but this is what we have! We’re trying to catch up with posting the projects we’ve taken pictures of
This project came from a leaking fridge water valve. Insurance took 6 months to approve it, and only after the customer hired a lawyer to finally pay for it
The church construction community got together and helped the Gusenkov family with a kitchen addition in the summer of 2022
The Gusenkov family did a lot of the work themselves, the Bereznyov family came through to help with framing, flooring and cabinet installation, the Kondratyev family came through for some of the most beautiful countertops out there (and they ran it up the wall as a backsplash!)
We highly recommend becoming a member of your local Slavic church, there are a lot of perks lol
Helping out the in laws with their flooring/kitchen! Early 2023
My parents were long overdue to get some upgrades to their flooring and kitchen
We helped them choose a flooring that they liked and one that suited their budget, as well as countertops and a backsplash.
I’d say the end result looks great! I wish we took more pictures from before and after, my bad guys. We’ll make sure to get better pictures for future projects
A few spots under the carpet were extremely high, and we opted for the cost savings of not taking out the hardwood so what we did if bumped up the subfloor with MDF, and the spots that were high we just layed a thinner MDF and then filled the rest with self leveling
Fun fact: Most self level requires lathe when installing on wood. What we like to do is choose the more expensive self level that has fibers in it, which which allows it to not require lathe. Self level also won’t stick to stained hardwood, so we had to take a planer (quickest way we found) and take a thin layer of the stained hardwood off the top so that our primer would stick
The stairs we had custom made out of our LVP, that way they would be square instead of round
Another quick small bathroom for the books!
Our process with every customer starts with what we call a PSA: Professional Services Agreement
What this allows us to do for you is make sure that we plan out your project from start to finish, choose all of the materials you might want to use, make sure that the material choices and scope of work fit within your budget, adjust the material choices and scope if needed to fit within the budget, and make sure that you’re happy with what your bathroom will look like and how much you’re spending on it before we even get started!
This is what makes sure that we avoid change orders, the most expensive part of any build. Change orders mean that we have to stop work, demo something we might’ve already installed, wait for new materials to be delivered, wait until a sub is available to do the work, etc. depending on what the change order is.
Make sure that the remodeling company you hire has some sort of process where they figure this stuff out before the project starts, or else you’ll likely be looking at a final invoice that you didn’t agree to!
Reach out to us if you have a remodel or addition you might need our help with!
Another post from a small job from 2023!
We came into this customer’s home when part of the demo was already finished. The reason the shower had to be taken out was because a previous contractor didn’t waterproof the shower correctly
These customers wanted to make sure their bathroom wouldn’t have any future problems. We were a clear choice once we explained how showers need to be waterproofed as common weak/failure points and how to avoid them.
They decided to go with slightly lighter colors by adding in white subway, but kept the overall appearance of the bathroom. The price was lower than a full bathroom remodel because we didn’t need to touch any of the plumbing, electrical, or change out any fixtures other than new shower glass
We love helping out our local (King and Pierce County) friends! Let us know if you have a remodel or addition that you might need our help with!
Another bathroom remodel completed ✔️
