Dear Classmates,

We, your class reunion committee, have to address a very important topic pertaining to our upcoming reunion weekend, and we want to be transparent with everyone involved. Sorry for the long post…..

As all of us know, we are living in unprecedented times, and right now everything we need as consumers is higher in price than usual.

Unfortunately, the owner of the venue for our reunion dinner (Saturday night) is being charged much more for food from his vendors than when we booked it…therefore he has increased the price he’s charging us.

We can’t back out of our contract without losing our deposit. And even if we decided to forgo our deposit and find another venue, there are none available. We contacted several before we decided on this one months ago.

The only thing we can do at this point is to raise the price of the reunion to $75 per classmate/$70 for spouse/guest. We sincerely hope that you all understand and will still support our efforts. We always try to keep our reunion fees as low as possible, but enough to have a nice affair. Compared to lots of other reunions, our fees are usually lower than most.

We hope you all still plan to attend. Please know that we had no other option. Please send your registration in ASAP (by 7/29/2022). All flyers will be updated with the new pricing. Please let anyone know of the changes if you’ve previously forwarded the info. We will post a link to order reunion t-shirts soon.

Here’s two opportunities to help our classmate, Mary Hood (Thomas)….There are 2 parades on Wednesday, June 8... One is in Davison ( Festival of Flags) and one in Flushing (Summerfest 2022: Festivals Around the World…see poster in comments)

Lineup for both are 5pm and parades start at 6pm. Lots of volunteers are needed to represent in both parades!!! Any help is very much appreciated. Her float will be in Davison so in Flushing...people are needed to walk and/or driving with Hood representation that will be provided.

Her campaign is going very well so far and that's what is needed....volunteers and monetary contribution!! Thank you so much on behalf of the Committee to Elect Mary Hood Circuit Court Judge!

Attention any classmates/friends who are coming to our reunion: if you need to stay at a hotel, please book one ASAP! There’s lots of big events (Crim race/golf tournaments)/weddings/reunions going on in the Flint area the same weekend. We have been unable to secure a block of rooms for our class at any of the hotels, however several of the hotels still have some individual rooms available. Make your reservations today!!!
