hello everyone!

i am sad to announce that i am closing studio june. i was hopeful with a rebrand that i would come back better than ever, but honestly my head & heart just aren’t in it like i would want it to be. simply put, i need some time for me. i’m proud of myself & what i’ve created for y’all, & how this outlet helped me so much the last 2 years. i had a small dream & so many of you made it a reality for me even if it was for a short time. i can’t thank y’all enough for all of the support you’ve shown me. it truly moves me to my core to know people saw my art & appreciated it. i’ve never felt so seen!

with that being said, i hope to completely close shop by june. the website is as of now 30% off absolutely everything. so please take advantage of this sale!

after june i will be deleting all social media accounts & closing my website.. i just feel it’s best to separate myself from social media & really take time for me for once. i’ve had such a great connection with some of you, so if you want to stay in touch please reach out for my number. i could always use some friendship.

🎨 Florence County Museum will host their first Slow Art Day on Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Visitors are encouraged to take their time viewing the Museum's collections and there will be several strategies offered by staff to help you experience the art more deeply.

🎨 The City Center Farmers Market will be open tomorrow with great weather to get out and shop from local vendors.

🎨 Chocobella has partnered with Bay Branch Farm again to offer their popular fresh local Strawberry sorbet. They are open today and tomorrow from 12:00pm to 9:00pm.

🎨 The special at BirdsNest Eats + Ales this week is the Tail Feather, a fried chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, bacon, swiss, and honey mustard on an everything bun.

my friend Michelle Springs_Hair has opened a one of a kind salon in florence, south carolina near five points & is having a grand opening next weekend!!! i will be at the grand opening party selling my jewelry & debuting custom pieces you can only find at fringe hair lounge ! it’s going to be a good time so be sure to come hang out with us!

remember that white on white floral slab i made? here are the finished products 🥰 these will be available in the drop happening on saturday!

i would say in total a single pair of these earrings took me 10 hours to create. between creating the slab, cutting, baking, sanding, assembling, carding & taking product photos.. that’s a whole lot of work. keep this in mind when you shop small in general & are paying a little extra than what you would at target or walmart. sure, you could get similar at a corporation for half the price. but it’s the care & hand made intention along with my personal hopes & dreams behind every pair of my earrings you are really purchasing & investing in.. oh & of course a one of a kind statement piece. ❤️

happy 2 years to studio june!

two years ago today i opened this little business of mine!

i can’t thank each & every single one of you enough for being here, following along & supporting me! i remember my first launch i sold out & cried & cried from joy. it was one of the best experience of my life. to know people wanted my art, that people would support this little dream of mine. this dream helped me stay home with my first, helped us go from renters to home owners, helped us survive when my husbands position was eliminated, & kept my mental health in check on the hardest days of my life.

the last two years have been a wild rollercoaster ride of ups & down, goals, dreams, new friends, disappointments, fears, tears, sleepless nights, & lots of learning. when i wanted to give up last year, so many of you reached out & wanted to know how you could help me continue or that you supported me through anything i decided. i can’t properly convey just how much that meant to me & its why this rebrand happened. i wouldn’t trade any of it for anything.

thanks for supporting small artists like me. i know you can buy clay jewelry or even stamped metal jewelry just about anywhere these days- but you chose me & i can’t say thank you enough! i wouldn’t be here without YOU!

just a small update about the drop!!! get excited for april 1st!

i used to think that i needed the perfect manicured feed & that i needed to post at all the right times to gain attention to my account. but with how my reach is now…. not anymore! this is me just posting what i want when i want. it’s after midnight & i just finished this white on white floral slab after 6 hours & it only made 4 pairs of earrings. i meticulously hand made every single flower & leaf & i think these will be glorious once they’re all finished up 😍

yay! they finally let me change my name from Meek Clay Co. to Studio June!

I went through this rebrand so I wouldn’t feel so limited having clay in my company name. the name Studio because it’s a creative outlet of sorts, & June to honor my first baby who was supposed to be due in June that I lost very early into my pregnancy. we did not know the gender, but we knew they would have been due in June. the rosebud signifies their birth flower.. a rose not quite in bloom felt appropriate. ❤️🌹

I know y’all are curious about what new things are in store.. so soon I will be offering custom metal hand stamped jewelry, starting out with initial necklaces & thin bracelets. these both pieces you will be able to customize with words & numbers that are meaningful to you. I will have photos very soon! I have been in training for my new job that has taken all of my time during the week. I want to eventually incorporate pet tags, keychains, earrings, variety of bracelets & rings.. the list goes on! but we will start small with this so I can get a good feel for what y’all really want! I will still be creating clay jewelry too, I am just expanding the scope of what I can offer y’all!
