✔️Vote Heath A Orth for County Commissioner PCT 2
If elected for County Commissioner PCT 2 these issues will be addressed:
▪️County roads roads are one of the main topics of discussion. My plan is to create a master road plan to establish priorities in addressing all concerns. ▪️Secondly, taxes and expenditures are always a concern for our community members. I will fight to keep taxes low and position Wilson County to maximize receipt of grant money from the state and federal government to help ease the burden on our local budget. I will maximize economic development within our county and reduce large expenditures on equipment that is not needed on a regular basis. I will work closely with other commissioners on a plan to share more equipment to maximize the efficient use of machinery, which eliminates unnecessary costs. ▪️Thirdly, public safety is a growing concern for our community due to the border security issues, the infiltration of drugs and criminal trafficking. I will provide strong support to our sheriff’s department and emergency service districts, which is critical for a safe and prosperous community.

Wilson County News gave candidates an opportunity to respond to 3 questions that would be published in the Wilson County News on February 9th. Here are the 3 question and how I responded:
-What do you see as the three top issues to be addressed, if elected; how will you do so?
As I visit with constituents, county roads quickly become one of the main topics of discussion. My plan is to create a master road plan to establish priorities in addressing all concerns. Secondly, taxes and expenditures are always a concern for our community members. Thirdly, public safety is a growing concern for our community due to the border security issues, the infiltration of drugs and criminal trafficking. I will provide strong support to our sheriff’s department and emergency service districts, which is critical for a safe and prosperous community.
-What event or issue has prompted you to seek this office at this time?
I have been a resident of Wilson County for 43 years and I have seen significant growth in our county. Positive growth with proper planning is so important and I seek this office because my experience will help achieve positive results. I want Wilson County to be a place where existing families and new families want to call home.
-What qualifies you to address the issues you've identified?
I am qualified to address the issues mentioned, because I have been self-employed for over 35 years in the construction business. I am experienced with managing employees, payroll, budgeting, general contracting and road construction. I served as a Floresville ISD Board Member for the last 5 years and I volunteer with the Wilson County Livestock Show, Kash for Kids, YCB and am an active member of the First Lutheran Church-Floresville.
Tomorrow, January 31st is the last day to register to vote.

I spent this past week volunteering and supporting the youth of Wilson county at the WCJLS and auction. Thank you to all of the volunteers, exhibitors, parents and buyers for making this show and auction successful. Supporting our youth and the agriculture industry is important to me and my family.
Happy New Year from the Orth family!
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas. May we all remember the reason for the season.
The ballot draw happened last night for all republican candidates for the March primaries. Out of the 3 candidates that are running for Wilson County Commissioner Precinct 2, I drew number 3. Your support is very much appreciated!
I am announcing my candidacy for Wilson County Commissioner, Precinct 2. My name is Heath Allen Orth, I am running on the Republican Ticket in the 2022 primary election on March 1.
I have been a resident of Wilson County for 43 years and have been fortunate to watch Wilson County grow significantly over the years. Continued positive growth is important to our community, and I would like to be a factor in making Wilson County a place where existing families and new residents can raise their families and be a successful productive part of our community.
Community involvement is important to our community; I have been an active member of the Floresville Chamber of Commerce, Floresville Peanut Association serving as the President and Vice President. I am currently an active member of the First Lutheran Church of Floresville and have served on the council as President and Vice President. I have also served on the First Lutheran church Sunshine Ark Daycare Advisory Committee. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Wilson County Jr. Livestock Show Association, Y’all Come Back Fall Classic, and Floresville FFA Booster Club. I am co-chairperson for the Kash for Kids organization and on the Floresville ISD Career and Technical Educations Advisory Committee. I served on the Floresville ISD Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2021 and held the office of Treasurer from 2018 to 2021.
I am not a politician but I have spent 35 years as a self-employed contractor in residential and commercial construction. I know the value of hard work, and realize there will be many challenges that come with the position of Commissioner, but I believe with my experience in life I can overcome these challenges. I will work hard for the taxpayers of Wilson County, and bring my conservative values to Commissioners Court and be efficient with taxpayers’ money. I understand that road and bridge maintenance and repair are an important part of the county budget. I also believe building a good working relationship with other elected officials is important to the future growth of our community.
I have been married to my wife Kelly for 19 years. We have two daughters, Kaydence a junior at Floresville HS, and Halle an 8th grader at Floresville Middle School.
I believe service is important for a strong community, county, state, and nation. I would be proud to serve Wilson County PCT 2 as your next Commissioner.
