Last Friday was jersey day in the Riser office and with the start of the NHL season and the Texas Rangers in the ALCS (woo!) our team was excited to celebrate their favorite teams!

The Riser team celebrated World Food Day today and the options were DELICIOUS!

For Hispanic Heritage Month, we are highlighting one of our Social Media Coordianators, Andrew!

Andrew is a proud Salvadoran-American who loves to share stories about his family, El Salvador, and his culture. Andrew's mom, Wendy, moved here in her teens from El Salvador and over time has grown to be a successful businesswoman and is the proud owner of Lonestar Popcorn right here in Flower Mound, TX! Andrew says his mom's hard work and dedication to him and his 4 brothers is one of his biggest motivators!

"I'm proud of my culture because of my mom. She's proven to me over and over that being Salvadoran isn't merely an identity - it's a lifestyle. My mom has shown me that hard work can get you anywhere and can help you achieve anything you put your mind to. I enjoy nothing more than getting to visit El Salvador and spending time with my family whom I don't get to see as often as I'd like. The country is breathtaking and full of natural beauty and I want everyone I know to experience it someday."
