As rosters are being finalized, if you haven't already, you will begin to hear from your head coaches and team moms about communication apps and practices! Official practices are scheduled to begin Monday, July 8th.

MANDATORY PREMIER LAKES PLAYER CERTIFICATION

SATURDAY, AUGUST 10th

At this event, players will have their certification info & weight verified by another organization for player eligibility. You will need to have all information entered in the zorts app by August 10th including skyward (report card/grade verification), headshot and utility information for those who are not FISD students, but live in Forney. Head coaches will have information on the zorts app for those who are not familiar with it. Your kid WILL NOT be eligible to play if you do not get your kid certified at this event. They must be at this event!! NO EXCEPTIONS!

For those new to Forney and The Forney Red Raiders, we are a youth football and cheer organization ❤️🖤 We compete under the Premier Lakes Sports League along with the Rockwall Texans, Caddo Mills Foxes, Royse City Bulldogs, Rockwall Jackets, Greenville Lions, Heath Hawks, Sunnyvale Raiders and Wylie.

WELCOME HEATH HAWKS, WYLIE AND ROCKWALL JACKETS TO THE LEAGUE FOR THE 2024 SEASON!!

All children from prek-6th Grade with a Forney address OR attending FISD schools are eligible to participate.

** To participate at the pre-k/K level the child must be 4 years old!

📣 CHEER: Our cheer program consists of sideline cheer and a cheer/dance/drill/stunting routine to be performed at halftime and end of season league competition. Cheer squads are divided as follows:
Prek/K
1st/2nd
3rd/4th
5th/6th

🏈 FOOTBALL: Our football program is grade pure and focused on teaching the fundamentals of the game and overall sportsmanship. It is a competitive program where all teams have a chance of making it to playoffs and Super Bowl.

Prek/K and 1st grade teams are flag only.
2nd through 6th tackle only.

PRACTICES: for both sports (football and cheer) practices are held at the discretion of the coach! Practices for both football and cheer will begin mid July.

GAMES: are held on Saturdays starting with prek/K start times will be announced later this summer. Games begin mid-August. Season ends in November depending on your teams standings. All cheerleaders will be expected to cheer for their team in Playoff/Superbowl should the team advance.

REGISTRATION FEE: Registration fees include 2 uniforms for football, helmet decals, cover facility rentals, insurance, equipment and many other things!

UNIFORMS: Cheer uniform packages have been released! This year football will have an apparel package that will be mandatory and will be released soon! This does not include helmet and shoulder pads. You must purchase those on your own.

CAMPS: Both Football and Cheer will have a mandatory camp to attend this summer! Details will be released soon!
