Good afternoon to all. Just wanted to inform everyone that practice starts Wednesday May 1 at Brown middle school. Sign ups are still available today April 24, April 29, and May first. All from 6 to 7 pm also at Brown middle school. Hope to see you all there.

It’s time!! Calling all athletes who want to take their abilities to the next level. Team Velocity will be hosting sign ups starting next week. We appreciate all the support our great city has given and we will continue to strive for excellence!

This week we will only have two practices as the coaches are heading out of town for the state track meet. We will practice on Monday and Tuesday from 6-7:30 at Brown. After next week practice will resume to 4 days a week.

Distances runners we will be at the community park on Monday and at the track on Tuesday.

Meet Schedule is attached and we will have a parents meeting soon to go over meet information.

Last and final day to sign up is Thursday April 27th from 6-7 at Brown MS’s track!!!

We will start practices Monday May 1st. Practice will be from 6-7:30 at Brown Middle School’s track.

Please make sure to get your uniforms ordered by April 30th as it is the last day to order uniforms.

We will hold 2 more sign ups next week on Tuesday 4/25 and Thursday 4/27. Sign ups will be held at the Brown middle school track from 6-7.

Practices will begin in May and be held at Brown’s track this year as Warren is under construction. Practices are Monday- Thursday from 6-7:30pm.

The cost is $125 per athlete plus uniforms. If you have 2 or more athletes please let us know as we do offer discounts for siblings. This year we are accepting credit cards but the price is $128.35 to cover the processing fees.

Meets will begin in June and end in mid July. Meets are on Saturdays and will be at various locations around the DFW area. (Schedule still to come)

If you have registered for the 2023 season please see the link below and it will take you to the online store to purchase your uniforms.

Please make sure you select the correct category as there is a youth, women’s, men’s and spirit wear section.

All orders must be placed by April 31st to make sure we have uniforms by our 1st meet in June.

Forney’s own Alex Chukwukelu runs a 7.71 PR and US No. 1 performance at the Texas Tech Under Armour HS Classic

I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest congratulations to one of our Forney Velocity athletes that began his track career with us.

Alex’s hard work and dedication have truly paid off. Not only is he a incredible athlete, but he is also a genuine person who has always put the needs of others before his own. His humility and kindness are truly admirable. Alex is a shining example of what it is like to be a true sportsman.

Our Velocity family are so proud of all that Alex has accomplished and we know he will continue to achieve great things in his future.

Congratulations to our 2022 TAAF Summer Games of Texas qualifiers! This year we have 33 state qualifiers, THIRTY THREE! Each athlete braved the heat and qualified at the TAAF Region 7 regional meet last weekend.

These young men and women, their coaches, and families will will be heading to Corpus Christi to compete against some of Texas’s finest athletes. We are so proud of all of you and know you will do a great job representing our team and the City of Forney. Good luck guys!!!

Good morning everyone,

Today will be the only day we will practice this week as a team. Over the next few days we would like the kids to still get in some light workouts on their own, hydrate, eat healthy and pack. Our coaches will be headed down to Corpus and should be arriving mid day on Thursday.

We will also be doing team pictures for all the state kids tonight!! Please have the kids wear their uniforms and bring their medals.

Update: Only long distance will be practicing tomorrow, July 11th. Everyone else has the day off. Everyone is welcome to workout with the distance group tomorrow.

The state parents meeting will still take place at 7:30.

Congratulations to our all athletes that competed in the regional meet this weekend. Despite the heat they did an amazing job representing our team and the City of Forney!!

We will continue practicing Monday-Thursday 6:00-7:30 till our state meet that is July 21st-24th.

Monday, July 11th at 7:30 we will hold a parents meeting for all the athletes that will be attending the state meet. Please make sure at least one parent attends so we can go over the schedule and travel arrangements.

For any athletes that did not make state you are more than welcome to continue practicing with us.

We will hold our team picnic Friday, July 15th. Picnic will be at the forney community park and will start at 6pm and go till 8. We will be setup right next to the volleyball courts.

We will be providing hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. We ask that you please try and bring your best side dish/desert if possible!!

So we can get a head count please comment below with how many of your family members will be joining us and what dish you will be providing.

If you have not picked up your bib yet coach Mike will be on the home side of the stadium right next to the concession area till 9am.

Top 6 advance to state and must pay their $10 (cash)fee per event at the awards table by end of meet.
