For real.
Pride on this page is year-round, but for those of you who only fly your flag during the month of June, we appreciate you and love you.
Many of our followers may wonder what the origin of Pride Day is.
Pride Day originated with the Stonewall riots in 1969.
On June 28 of that year, the gay community rose up against an NYPD raid on the Stonewall Inn bar in Manhattan, which was a meeting place for the community. Since homosexuality was illegal, it was persecuted by the authorities. However, they did not expect the response of the community, which was to respond to police with violence.
A year later, on June 28, 1970, the first Pride Parade took place. It featured the Liberation March, in which activists from all over the country marched a total of 51 blocks to Central Park. Other cities, such as Boston and Los Angeles, also hosted demonstrations to celebrate the self-affirmation of the collective.
Those events gave rise to what is known today as International Pride Day and why it is celebrated on June 28.
Happy Pride Day everyone !!!

In case Anyone missed out on these amazing items.
We made the paper yesterday. It would have been great if they had published an article to accompany it, or included more photos from inside the festival since I know the photographer captured many moments. Nevertheless, we are grateful for the inclusion.
