It's not a real good week this week as far as scheduling goes. Classes will be Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and these classes are subject to cancelation. Please check for updates
Brutaal Genesis started off with a bang last night at the Wild Rose Casino with Zack Rossmanith leading off the action. Zack was anxious to have his first MMA fight as soon as he turned 18 so we got him a warm-up kickboxing match while he was still 17 and he finished that one in the first round. First round stoppage in his MMA debut last night and high school graduation today! He doesn't have Facebook but congratulations Zack on both!
The gym will be closed next week and their will be no classes. We will be back on Monday May 27th at 6pm.
I'm super proud of my student Kennedy Colby for her first fight last night at Brutaal Genesis against another tough female. She signed up for the fight by herself and went by herself which takes a lot of courage but you could tell from the opening strikes that she is Savage trained. She may not have been awarded the win but a draw is better than a loss. My favorite was the spinning back fist, straight right hand! Congratulations to both ladies on an exciting performance!

We've been mixing kids in the adult classes sometimes lately. The kids love it and the adults seem to enjoy it as well. This week there will be a kids only class on Wednesday at 4:30 and on Friday at 6:00 o'clock they will join the adult class again.
Due to a recent career advancement Savage Muay Thai has had, and will have more changes. We still have had class Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 PM and Sunday at 10 AM. The only difference is on some days when I can't be there Thomas Ahrens has been leading the class. He is also there almost every day for any members who want to train. Some class times may change and I will be adding in more classes on different days of the week. The first time change is tomorrow only, SundayJuly 30th, class will be at 9 AM instead of 10 AM. I hope to see everyone there!

Still working on this kid's actual kick form but he did an awesome job picking up this kick drill for his first time ever trying it today. He had it going pretty good there at the end.
Here's a photo from Ben Meyer's fight where he punched his opponent so hard he flew out of the ring and into the back row of the arena. Legend has it he's still out there today, trying to find his way back to the ring.
Savage Muay Thai made its debut in the Ascendancy Fighting Championship with Ben Meyer last night. With skill and precision Ben picked his opponent apart with punches and kicks. Ben knocked his opponent down early in the first round with a right head kick. His opponent managed to survive and get back up only to get hit by a jumping left head kick. Ben finally finished his opponent at the very end of the first round with a left kick to the stomach that left him unable to breathe. Congratulations to Ben for starting out in kickboxing with a 1-0 record.
Carson Reed showed how tough he was again fighting through an intense three round battle. Carson lost the decision this time but thats what happens sometimes when your out there taking on all the toughest competition around. Congratulations to both men on such outstanding performances.
I had an awesome day today with Super Girl and her father and coach Kru Jaroonsak and it was all knees baby!

Savage Muay Thai would like to thank Chris Cichon and The Cellar Gym for inviting us to the U.S. Kickboxing Grand Prix event that was held in Andover, Minnesota this weekend. It was a valuable experience for our 6 young competitors and we all had a great time. We would love to see more events like this taking place and we hope that they continue to grow bigger and bigger.
