We’re proud to introduce this year’s class of 2024 Florida Roses 🌹 We’ll be sharing a little about this phenomenal group of women throughout the week leading up to the selection on May 25th at the Rosen Centre in Orlando 🌹

First up is Aoife Slattery sponsored by Slattery’s Midtown Pub

Hi! My name is Aoife Slattery and I’m a 19-year-old student entering my third year of undergraduate studies at the University of Miami. I am double majoring in political science and public relations and minoring in marketing. As a recurring member of the provost’s honor roll, I have maintained a GPA of 3.75 or higher each semester. I have been involved in Irish dance since I was six, began competing at 11, and have progressed through all six levels. This summer, I will take the twelfth exam out of 13 to become a certified Irish dance teacher (TCRG).

Additionally, I have won competitions as a dog handler with my Labrador retriever, Tori. In high school, I served as vice president of the Habitat for Humanity club, single-handedly collecting over 200 pairs of jeans to use as insulation for a house built in my county. I remains active in this club in college and have also joined the Best Buddies and Big Brother clubs, clubs specializing in disabled individuals and children. I am also a part of Love Letters for Literacy, an organization dedicated to helping children become literate.
