Yes, we need fats, the healthy kind in order to have fuel, they are essential for hormones, and blood sugar regulation. Here's the rule of thumb as it is with all food: moderation, quality and source.
Healthy Fats also help with:
โขbrain development & function
โขas a structural component of cells
โขsupports the absorption of vitamins
โขcertain types help maintain a healthy heart and blood vessels
โขaids in weightloss
โขgreat source of energy!
When aiming for healthy fats look for unsaturated fats such as monounsaturated or polyunsaturated omega 3 or omega 6 fats.
Moral of the story don't be afraid of eating fats, or eating in general we need to eat quality food to reach our personal goals ๐๐ช
