Update on the chicken sale: I still have 13 hens left, 1 Cuckoo Maran, 4 Black Autsralorps, 4 Delawares, 2 California Grays and 2 that Im not sure what they are. I also really need to find a home for the Easter Egger rooster, I can’t take him home. He is not aggressive at all and just minds his own business
Anyone looking to add to their flock or start a new one? I’m looking to sell off my hens. I have Delawares, Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Cuckoo Marans, California Grays and an Easter Egger rooster. They have always been pasture raised and fed organic, non-GMO, corn and soy free feed. They are all laying and are 7-18 months old. PM me for more info.
Update: I still have 15 hens left, Cuckoo Marans, Black Autsralorps, Delawares, California Grays and 2 that Im not sure what they are. I also really need to find a home for the Easter Egger rooster, I can’t take him home. He is not aggressive at all and just minds his own business. I’ve added a pic of him
We have lots of farm fresh, organic, pasture raised eggs available. Porch pick-up and limited delivery available.
Got the girls moved to new pasture and introduced 10 new hens to the flock and there were no fights! We have plenty of egg!
Our new flock of hens finally started laying and we have small/medium eggs for sale @ $5/doz or our large/x-large for $7/doz or $12/2doz. All are pasture raised, no antibiotics, no medications and only fed organic, corn & soy free, non-GMO feed/grains. Msg for delivery or pickup options. Thanks!
Asparagus started coming in last week, available atHao's Grocery & Cafee
Another week, another theft! This time not mine but a member of the church who keeps his travel trailer and utility trailer parked at the church had the utility trailer stolen last night. This is getting ridiculous!
Well, I wish I could share fun farm stuff but it's all bad news for now, had another theft from the farm last night, they stole my trailer with a full load of compost in it. So again, if anyone in the neighborhood has any info or saw anything or anyone out by my shed last night, please reach out.
It's a 10' Kearney Trailer, black with green pinstriping and yellow "Kearney" stickers, single axle, with a fold down gate and wood deck, TX plate FVF Z80
Better 2 months late than never! Last bed of garlic going in today.
Does anyone have cameras that show my farm or the church parking lot? Or did anyone see people, lights or a vehicle bye shed last night? My shed was broken into last night for the 3rd time and this time they took some larger tools that would require a vehicle to leave with so Im pretty sure they drove through the parking lot down to the farm area. The church garage and shed have been broken into several time too. Sorry to say this but because of the vagrants and drug addicts I’m really considering shutting the farm down and moving.
Thanks to our customers, and the shorter days, we can’t keep fresh eggs in stock so we added another 14 hens to the flock today. Chose breeds to add some color to our brown eggs, Easter eggers, olive eggers, Whiting true greens, California Grays and Blue Stars. They should start laying sometime in February!
First day of garlic planting! Been prepping the beds for the last few weeks and now have 4 varieties going in this week. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait till June to enjoy them.
We’re stocked up on pasture raised eggs - $6/doz or 2 for $10 - msg me for porch pickup or delivery in Wedgwood or farm pickup.
Egg sale! We haven’t been to the farmers market for a few weeks and the eggs are starting to pile up. Trough the weekend eggs will be $9 for 2 dozen, message me for pick up or delivery in Wedgwood or farm pickup in Western Hills.
Update: Well that was fast, Looks like they are all sold, I will DM those of you who messaged me and coordinate pick ups. Thank you!
Well this summer has been rough on everyone, not to mention the farm. Most everything is dead or dying and we are gonna try to keep the tomatoes alive for a fall harvest and wait till thing cool off enough to plant for fall. So we won’t be back to the market anytime soon but in the meantime, we have plenty of eggs, some cherry tomatoes and the occasional melon. Check our sale site panthervillefarm.com, we’ll have some things at The Table Market or just message me if you need something.
Stop by and get a fresh Canary melon.
Come see us tomorrow at , we’ll have jalapeños, tomatoes, eggplant and a few melons - crenshaw and canary
This heat is literally killing my ladies, got them moved to the only spot on the farm with some shade. I think they like it!
The crenshaw melons are really starting to put on size, a few more weeks and we’ll have them at the market.
Almost!
Might actually get a few pomegranates this year. If it weren’t for the chickens eating all the flowers, we’d have more
Everyday is egg day!
We’ll be at the tomorrow from 8-noon, come see us for fresh eggs and veggies and check out all the other local vendors.
We have a other brood of blue birds hatching today, love having the around the farm, they eat lots of bugs and leave the veggies alone.
Come see us tomorrow from 8-noon at , we’ll have pasture raised eggs, carrots, onions, potatoes, squash, zucchini and tomatoes.
Thought the wildflowers were done for the year but that rain last Friday brought them back
Biological warfare has begun! Just put out 25,000 green lacewing eggs and 10,000 assassin bug eggs, trying to get a head start on fighting the pest insects that took out most of my melons and squash last year. Cucumber beetle and squash vine borer traps going out tonight.
The blackberries are loaded, hope to have some to market next week.
After several years of having this on the to do list, it finally got done, drip irrigation installed on the tomatoes, peppers, squash and melons. We will use much less water and should have happier healthier plants, fewer split tomatoes and better production. Thanks for the grant that made this possible.
Pullin’ some taters, onions and carrots today.
