What is a Federal Fi****ms License (FFL)?
It’s a license in the US that allows an individual to engage in the business of buying, selling, and/or making fi****ms. (Depends on the type of FFL obtained-there are 9 different types)
What is the role of an FFL?
The FFL will facilitate fi****ms sales between two parties. The FFL will record all transactions on an ATF Form 4473 and perform a criminal background check verifying the purchaser meets all requirements set by the ATF.

At CM Arms we have a type 1 FFL meaning we deal in fi****ms other than destructive devices. In other words, rifles, pistols, revolvers, and shot guns.
Class 3 SOT (special occupational taxpayer) - allows us to be a dealer for short barreled riffles and silencers.

While we like to think of ourselves as bird hunters here at cm arms, one of our favorite platforms is actually a rifle, the ****ms t3x series, and specifically the t3x lite in 6.5 creedmoor.
This beauty is an ideal rifle for novice and experienced sportsmen alike. The simple bolt-action allows for easy operation, while the 6.5 creedmoor caliber round will let more advanced shooters reach distances of close to a mile using just the setup out of the box (and using proper optics of course). The synthetic stock makes it perfect for lugging around the backcountry when hunting deer, hogs and coyotes. The blued barrel comes in at 24.3” and has a twist of 1:8”. The platform can be a fantastic starting point to upgrade as there is a decent amount of aftermarket support.
