Brown Dog Wood Goods

It’s been awhile but got to boot up the shop again to refurbish our old porch swing. Being able to use about 90% of the original parts then fabricating replacement parts, I was able to get the swing back into new condition for about 8.00 plus my time! Thats saved about 492.00!!! With my limited time. It took about 6 weeks from start to finish but can be done in about two days.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to work in the shop but finally had some downtime. Cyndi requested a bench for the entryway so here ya go!

The start and finish of another patio set and I sure hate to see it go! One of these days I'll get to keep a set! This one sure was a challenge with all of the shortages of Western Red Cedar, stainless steel screws, Teak Oil and of course, price increases. This set cost roughly 45% more in materials and sure took a while to finish but as always, its good to see a finished product go to it's new home!

The latest complete set. This set features all stainless steel hardware with screws being concealed with matching Cedar plugs for that "seamless" smooth look. This method also helps to seal the wood by preventing water from pooling on top of the countersunk screw heads. Very appealing!

The Cedar board in the previous video??? Here it is! After 3 coats of Teak Oil, two more chairs ready for assembly.
