“Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won't have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians."

I basically did a spit-take. I couldn’t imagine being there and not laughing out loud. Of all the absurd, despotic, hopefully delusional things Trump has said… How can these “beautiful Christians” not hear when they’re being spoken down to, ordered to do his bidding, and of course, dismissed by this wanna-be fuerher? It was hilarious upon first hearing, but it’s also terrifying when you realize the whole country isn’t laughing at this narcissistic clown’s words."

I was recently in conversation, mostly listening, with a recently retired Army Colonel who had been a Ranger and had spent his last years in the Pentagon. He told me he is a Republican.
I asked him questions about military culture and his take on politics in Washington DC. He didn't ask where I stand so I didn't tell him. I was there to see his side of things.
He wasn't irrational or radical until he calmly said this one sentence?
"We've been in a civil war before."
Ponder that if you don't think we are at war right now. A war without weapons but a war nonetheless.

I was so naive. I thought I would stand there when the mood hit and that would be that. I knew about social media but I really didn't know about social media.
I got pi**ed after my first interview by an internet news source when they said I did it every day. I never said that and I knew I would never do it every day.
I still remember the first thing I said to myself when a popular morning radio show in New Zealand texted me and said they wanted to interview me...."This is getting out of hand!" I found out it was popular because I happen to have a cousin who lives in New Zealand. I called her brother, Ken Aud in Illinois, and he asked her about the show. She replied that it was popular and her husband listened to it every morning.
If you got this far, you just read a snippet of my 1-man show I'll be doing a couple times in a reputable 100 seat theatre in Austin in September.
And I'm still saying..."This is getting out of hand!" because the show will be just like my gig with The Sign.
I don't know what I'm doing!
