Even before finishing my bachelor's degree in nursing, I began working on the required education modules and 1,000 hours of patient education required to become certified. In March of this year, I completed and passed the ADCES Core Concepts course, and today I signed up and paid to take my certification exam to become CDCES Certified!

Having my CDCES will allow me to provide 1:1 care to patients and their family members/caregivers to help them learn ways to prevent and manage diabetes.

The potting shed is coming along well. Today we finished the soffit work, installing the front door, and some trim features around the building. We also installed the window holders to be able to open the windows and let air circulate. The potting shed has come a long way from the dilapidated dog kennel it used to be.
