I am excited to say that I delivered a pair of diamond studs today.

One of my ladies that I know through A Girl and a Gun and I were talking one day, and she said she wanted a large pair of diamond studs. Being the curious person that I am, I asked her exactly what she was looking for and she said she wanted something 3-4 carat total weight. We talked about the difference between natural diamonds and the laboratory grown diamonds. She preferred the natural diamonds, knowing that if you got something very bright, they could have small white inclusions in them. Diamonds that large are or not inexpensive, but I told her I would keep my eyes out for a pair. While looking for a watch for another client, I found a beautiful pair of matching diamonds. They are incredibly bright and just under 3 1/2 carat total weight, measuring 7.4 mm each. They do have small white inclusions but no black and are F/G color. We set them in 14 karat white gold 6 prong settings and I added heavy Guardian earring backs for security. They turned out amazing. Because she’s not in town. They were shipped overnight priority mail, and she called me the minute she received them Both she and her husband absolutely thrilled with how they turned out. I am so lucky that I get to do something that I love. She has been looking for diamond studs for a while, and we found some that were a percentage of what she would have paid. I have a friend that lives in Chicago. We were discussing diamonds one day and I said that I have access to whatever she wants. She wanted a 4ct pear shape and we discussed the difference between the lab and the natural diamonds. She decided on the lab diamond because of the cost difference. She has a friend that is a jeweler that does amazing design work as well so I supplied the diamond and her friend set it in this amazing platinum ring. It turned out wonderfully. She took it to her appraiser and he was surprised with the lab diamond and said that she got an amazing deal. I was so pleased to hear that. What do you think? I love the ring.

I had such a great day today I have to share.

In a past life I had a job that I loved and it was filled with amazing people. There was one lady that was a wonderful friend. We worked for the same company and had a similar drive to work. We spoke daily and got together on a regular basis. When my husband and I moved to Fort Worth, she lived what seemed like 5 blocks away and she was the first visitor at my new home.

A few years later, she ended up moving back to her home state of Virginia. The last time we spoke, she had gotten together with her high school sweetheart and was getting married. Her son was in elementary school and they were both doing very well. She married and changed her name and I had not spoken with her again.....UNTIL TODAY!!.

She reached out and it seemed like we picked up right where we left off and hadn't missed a day. I have thought about her throughout the years and wondered how she was doing. She is GREAT and now that I have her contact information, we will be sisters from another mister all over again. Thank you so much for reaching out Robin Spellman. It absolutely made my day and I can't wait to catch up more in the near future!!!

I am so fortunate to be able to do something I truly love doing.

I have a life long friend and his wife that wanted new rings for their 20th anniversary. Actually, she wanted the rings. She had an emerald they supplied to me and I wish I could take credit for the total design. She also found a costume ring she fell in love with. That ring design was modified to fit her emerald. Also, they have two children whose birthdays are January (garnet) and November (citrine). She twanted to incorporate their birthstones into the ring as well. She also wanted to make a ring for her husband and did not tell him about it.

I am so proud of the final rings. Here are pictures from the original drawing to the computer design and the finished rings.

They let me know yesterday that she finally told him about the rings and he was very surprised. They both love them.

So Blessed to be recommended by a friend to make a wedding set for a relative of his. He said white gold, oval Diamond with a halo. Very simple and a Diamond anniversary band. He was very clear in what he wanted and it was a privilege to put this together for him. He proposed on Sunday and they are official.

I wasn’t going to post this right away but just can’t wait.

I was referred to a young gentleman by a long time friend for a non-traditional engagement ring and wedding band. His girlfriend’s favorite color is purple. His parameters were: it needed to be a heart shaped diamond, a halo around the center, white gold and it needed to have amethyst included. We color blocked the engagement ring and then set alternating diamond & amethyst on the wedding band. He absolutely loved this when I delivered it last week. I am so lucky and blessed to be able to do something that I love and share it with people.

I posted this several days ago however, he had not proposed at that time. I was concerned she would find out about the post so I removed it. I am happy to say that she officially said yes and is very happy with her new bling! The center stone is a 2.0ct D-VS1 quality Diamond in a platinum & 18k setting. It turned out beautifully. Congratulations to the new couple and I appreciate you allowing me the privilege of being part of this process for you.
