Brick Thurber Brick Thurber was created in Thurber, Texas, a small town in West Texas, known for its signature red bricks.
He was laid on Camp Bowie Boulevard in 1929, along with several thousand of his brick brethren. For 82 years, Brick Thurber has loyally served the commuters on Camp Bowie, all the while being run over by cars, horses, and living on a diet of almost exclusively tire rubber.
