We had the privilege of hearing Congressman Roger Williams speak today at the monthly membership meeting of the 5 Star Parker County Chamber of Commerce. His words were informative and inspiring. Our thanks to him for making time in his busy schedule to update us on current topics of our county, state, country, and also international affairs. Also a big thanks to the committee for their hard work to organize this awesome event.

**Update**
Chris spent some time in UTSW hospital in Dallas where he received radiation and began chemo treatments. He is now home and able to take his remaining chemo treatments in Fort Worth. There are some improvements, but as those who have experienced cancer know, there are constant ups and downs.

Not every S&Co project is a major remodel. Sometimes a space just needs minor modifications and an update. That’s what we did in this beautiful Mira Vista kitchen.

Cabinet modifications were necessary for the new ovens and refrigerator. We replaced the upper cabinet door fronts to remove the dated arched design with a more contemporary look, but still match the lower cabinets. The pantry door was replaced, the pot rack removed, and lighting updated. The desk in the adjacent area received the same treatments, which creates a cohesive feel. New paint lightened the space and now the interior looks fresh and new. We also refinished the front door, creating a welcoming entry for guests.

Phases…Sometimes projects need to be done in phases. After we completed this carport project, the owner decided to enclose a portion for a workshop and man cave. This air conditioned space is now perfect for shop work that needs to be done, even in the hottest of Texas heat. If you look closely at the base of the garage door, you’ll see a cutout in the curb to allow their motorcycle to easily glide into place. Customizing to our customers specific needs is what we do!!

Stunning! This transformation is worthy af a design magazine cover. Renovating this home in Walsh Ranch in Aledo was so satisfying. The beautiful upgrades in the kitchen included cabinet redesign, gorgeous leathered Taj Mahal countertops with a waterfall edge on the island, custom stove vent cover, stylish open shelving, chic wainscot backsplash, new lighting and paint. Notice the apron front countertop at the sink. Amazing detail!

Not only was the kitchen upgraded, but you can see how the adjacent hall with butler’s pantry, coffee bar, and food pantry would draw a crowd just for a peek! Coordinating with designer Heather Arnold of H+Co. Design Haus - Decorating Den Interiors, this Arlington home got some great updates in the bathrooms. The master bath garden tub was removed and became a large, gorgeous shower, while the original small shower became a much needed linen closet. The new look is clean and sophisticated.

The new tile on the guest bathroom tub surround is gorgeous and gives this bathroom a fabulous look. We also refinished the existing tub so it shines like new!

Job Opportunity: Bookkeeper for Estimating / Sales Assistant

We are seeking an assistant to join our amazing team. Must have bookkeeping experience and be an energetic, positive, team player who is also capable of working independently. This position requires an individual with a strong bookkeeping background for the purposed of understanding margins and basic formulas; however, this position will not be responsible for any AR/AP or other company bookkeeping duties. This position requires someone extremely familiar with Quickbooks.

Responsibilities:
- Creating estimates using QuickBooks
- Create templates for future estimates and update pricing as the market fluctuates
- Assist the sales team with administrative tasks such as materials research & pricing, creating POs, ordering materials, and creating & maintaining spreadsheets
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets for basic forecasting

Requirements:
- Must have extensive knowledge of Quickbooks and Excel
- Type 75+ wpm
- Estimating experience
- Strong math skills for calculations and analysis
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to multitask and be detailed-oriented
