Any day is a good day to start healing.
Safe access to abortion saves lives. Body sovereignty is a universal right. Some of us may be feeling overwhelmed or enraged right now. This is social trauma. Focus on what we can control….register to vote, find pro-choice candidates, become an abortion doula. Let’s come together! ✊🏻
How does healing happen?…..moment by moment….weaving together one pleasurable nervous system grounding moment into the next….noticing sun and wind and smells and sounds…..all 5 senses…..mindfully aware and rooted in present moment……I encourage you to go outside and notice the felt sense of your body……expand your Window or Tolerance (WoT)…..
Find drops of pleasure where you can…..string them together….create a necklace and adorn yourself

How can you give yourself the gift of noticing one small drop of pleasure during the day…..a kind word from a stranger, a sweet connection w an animal, or the warm sun on your face. We so often notice discomfort and suffering, can you allow yourself the gift of pleasure and self love today. You are here. You are enough. 💕
Even if it is one second out of the day……being able to sense and realize pleasure in our bodies expands our inherent capacity to notice and feel pleasure more and more. Feeling pleasure allows us to move away from only sensing discomfort and displeasure in our bodies and to, essentially, have hope for being able to have a different experience and life.
How do we learn to totally give in, be vulnerable, and relax into our parasympathetic nervous system. We notice the smallest moments of pleasure….like late afternoon fall sun on our skin and the feeling of warmth. We teach ourselves that we are worthy of pleasure and that it is ok to feel pleasure.
If our body wasn’t a safe place to be, we learned to stay in our head.

Finding time to regulate the nervous system….giving the self permission to pause….to feel….to be aware….where the page meets the grass.
