Saber Spotlight: This is Alex Engle, a senior in the Saber Manufacturing program. Alex enjoys working on cars and playing video games. Alex joined Saber Manufacturing because he enjoys making stuff out of metals and likes making stuff to sell to customers! Alex likes that in Saber Manufacturing you get to work with your friends and the overall manufacturing part of it. In 5 years Alex hopes to have an engineering job! If you asked Alex what Saber Manufacturing is like, he would tell you “It’s just awesome, I’m happy to be a part of it”

Saber Spotlight: This is William Floyd, a senior in the Saber Manufacturing program. William likes to play videogames, 3D Print stuff, and play table top games. William joined Saber Manufacturing becuase he has an intrest in welding, working with metals, and because he loves the community. William Enjoys Saber Manufacturing becuase he likes the community and all the nice talent that Saber Manufacturing has to offer. In 5 years William hopes to be in the world force, welding for a company and trying to get money together for the future. If you asked William what Saber Manufacturing is like, He would tell you “it’s a good introductory to the work force and what you would expect in the work force”

This is Maxwell Lange, Maxwel is a maintenance guy on a race car team. He enjoyes working on cars, hanging with his girlfriend, and likes welding. Maxwell joined Saber Manufacturing because he enjoyed the metals program and wanted to continue with Saber Manufacturing. Maxwel likes that Saber Manufacturing because it’s very much a family to him this year and he is able to have fun along with getting work done. In 5 years Maxwell hopes to be welding for a company, and wants to travel around the world. If you asked Maxwell what Saber Manufacturing is like, he would tell you “it’s a company but we are family”

Special guest and 2020 Saber Manufacturing alumni, Austin Pfennig came by for a visit. He gave us a presentation about his experience as a Krones Fabricator and reminisced through the shop. It was great to have you back Austin!

All SM students have been tasked with a completing a custom order. Things are looking great as of now 👨‍🏭

We could not be more grateful for incredibly generous donation of $15,000. Using this money for a cnc lathe will open countless opportunities for students and Saber Manufacturing.

Congrats to Max and Alex on your acceptance to the Technician of Tomorrow Automotive competition! These two saber manufacturing members will have there automotive knowledge and skills tested against 5 other schools on March 4th of 2022. Good luck sabers!

Saber Spotlight: This is Christian Mueller a 17-year-old FHS student. In his free time, Christian likes to go Airsofting and play Lacrosse. Christian wanted to join Saber Manufacturing to progress his skills and gain leadership along the way. Some things that Christian likes about Saber Manufacturing is that he knows all of his coworkers and that they are like a family to him. In 5 years, Christian sees himself finishing College and starting a business in a pizza restaurant. If Christian saw a person who was interested in Saber Manufacturing he would say go for it, have fun and learn some skills along the way.

Prototyping for some of our newest projects is under way

Today we’ve been working on our Mastercam skills to produce better products on both our plasma table and our CNC Mill

Finishing up some of our prior projects that got interrupted by the COVID outbreak. Prototyping is going along well as well

Working on new prototypes, more to come soon with a few surveys on possible products.
