This is my first time ever designing and building a custom piece (or three), and boy did I learn a lot along the way. I’m super pleased with how they turned out and can’t wait to see them in action in the coffee shops! Thanks for asking me to do this, ! I had a blast!

Finished a huge build this week! It may not look it from the photos, but this thing is HUGE. I’ve built swing sets before, but this one was a MONSTER. 💪🏼

Over 385 parts.
Over 2,000 pieces of hardware (61 different types).
Over 140 pages of instructions in 10 different phases.
2.5 hours just to unpack it all.
Completed in 3 days.

This thing is crazy. 👀 It has your normal platform, slide, rock wall, and swing set, along with two additional decks, and A FREAKING TURRET. 🏰 Run some power and plumbing out there, and I bet you could list it for $250k on Zillow. Kids these days, man… They don’t know how great they have it. 😂

Recently finished another fun project… Added a closet and built-in shelving with a desktop to a client’s bonus room! That’s what we like to call a bonus-room-to-bedroom upgrade, which adds major value to a home! Had fun with this one (minus the time my 4 ft ladder buckled underneath me and I fell and thought I died), and am very proud of how it turned out!

Hello and welcome to my IG page! If you’ve landed here and don’t know me yet, my name is Zach Foster, and I am “The Zach” behind Zach of All Trades. Nice to meet you 🤝🏻! I’ve been doing this handyman thing for about 8 years now, but there’s a whole lot more to me than fixing stuff and making things look pretty. - I’m a former youth pastor and am passionate about youth ministry!

- I was in a gospel choir for four years in college
- I have never been to Arby’s and now it’s kinda my thing and I will go to my grave never having eaten there
- I love a good crossword puzzle 🤓

Another week, another shiplap-in-the-nursery project… This time, in a wainscoting design. I think it turned out great! The client will be adding fun wallpaper above the wainscoting at a later time, and I think it will all come together to make a very cute room for a little baby girl!

Building an outdoor sauna in outdoor conditions that were very sauna-like = 🥵🥵🥵

It was a cool build, but I wish I built it when it was cooler! Who needs a sauna in the summers in Tennessee anyway when you can literally walk outside and sweat profusely instantly?! 😂

My biggest project ever is officially in the books! 💪🏼 Built multiple offices, a break room, closet, and connecting hallway from the ground up! Got a little help with the plumbing, electrical, drop ceiling, and HVAC, but the rest was all completed by ya boi! 👷🏻‍♂️ Definitely a challenging and stretching opportunity in which I learned a lot and for which I’m very thankful!

First ever Ikea built-in “hack”! For an old house that literally didn’t have a single level, plumb, flat, or square surface anywhere, I’d say these turned out pretty good! What do you think?

Excited to try this again soon in an easier/less wonky space! Oh, and no, they’re not painted yet… The client is going to tackle that themselves! Please excuse the wood filler freckles!

Never a bad idea to add a little texture to those blank walls! This bead board wainscoting turned out great!

If you thought untangling your Christmas lights was hard, I wouldn’t suggest installing this chandelier. 😳

The manufacturers recommend two people set aside two full days to complete this playground build, but I say that’s all child’s play (get it?!). One man. Eight hours (I took a half hour for lunch, math nerds). I have officially achieved Master Builder status from The Lego Movie. Give me your best shot Ikea.
