We had a disney trip planned months before the house fire. After July 23rd everything felt very unstable and like disney was the last thing we wanted to do or should do…it’s been nearly 12 weeks since the fire and I can say this trip is just what our little fam needed to get away from the craziness and enjoy each other.

Embracing this season. Even with all the bumps it’s been a good one. We’re settling into this neighborhood life pretty well 🤪 there is a lot we love about it and we have the sweetest neighbors. We’re excited for HOME though. Still a long road ahead…still eyeball deep in demo,but the next phase is the fun one! Rebuilding 🏡🏡

13 years with this guy. Not the path we saw ourselves on,but I wouldn’t choose another soul to walk this road with. I love you.

Beauty from ashes. Literal ashes. This place were calling home for the next little bit is coming together. It’s beautiful and more than we could have asked for,but not home. The kids have been troopers. They are so strong. You all have been amazing. Filling in those gaps to make this space more comfortable for all of us. June has seemed to age 5 years in the last week. She senses when I am weaker or feeling fragile and swoops in to help her sister or take the dog out (who doesn’t understand what the heck a leash is). The boys are kind of loving living in a neighborhood and the freedoms and expierences that come with it. Sweet ev is just along for the ride and doesn’t know what to call this house vs the farm house…she calls our home the killed house 😭 Nolan is amazing and my rock. He loves Jesus and keeps pointing out to all of us the blessings and the Lords provision in our lives. Girls…your future husband matters! It matters so much. I can’t wait to walk the road of restoration with the kids. There is so much hope. We want to have a painting done to hang in our home when it is finished that says “beauty from ashes” if you have any recommendations of people who can do that please let me know ♥️ love you all so much. Please@keep praying. We have a long road.

We are slowly getting settled in our rental house 🙌🏼 a sweet friend gave us a couch for the bonus room and other sweet friends have given us a coffee tables and desks and rugs. Ellington got a Nintendo switch so he is as happy as a clam 🤪 we are one week into walking this road we wouldn’t have chosen to walk,but I tell you this…the Lord has led every single step of the way and has been so gracious to us…prayers for all of our emotions as we still feel the waves and the kids navigate the loss of the only home they’ve known. Rebuilding will be beautiful and exciting,but right now its raw. Everly had a breakdown at the store yesterday as it all of a sudden hit her that all her toys were actually gone. That’s hard to watch them in their own ways process. Thank you all for all your prayers and support we feel them so strongly and have cried so many tears at this beautiful community that Ian surrounding us ♥️🏡

The Lord has been so good to us through this sad devastating time. We are semi settled (with no furniture 🤣) in our temporary housing! My phone has damaged in the fire/smoke and I got a new one but I am getting very few texts so please know if you have sent a message and I have not responded I’m not ignoring you! Feel free to text my husband at any time 615-957-9048 hopefully my phone will be fixed soon! Thank you all so much for all your prayer,food,gifts,finances etc. They have been felt and met us in our biggest time of need. You all are so wonderful.
